What's the point?

I see nothing wrong with it. Some dresses have high slits or bare sides. This kind of underwear gives the illusion that there isn't any.

That thing just looks really uncomfortable.

I never understood why women where these things. I know it's so no panty lines show but man it has to be uncomfortable constantly having your underwear in you butt crack.

I don't understand the need for the anal probe, but maybe it's more comfortable than a plug. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

That was the exact thought I had. It won't be long before someone sues because they put it on wrong. You shouldn't need directions for your underwear.

In all seriousness the point is you can take it off while standing (or dancing) without having to slide it all the way down around your feet.

Also would work under an outfit with a slit all the way up the side.
