I do think Revis is really good, but I'd rather have a really good WR as the league changed. |

Exactly. He is already on a team that failed more for it's lack of offense more than anything. He'd be wonderful to have, but our primary problem is our offense... and our defense is weakest at safety and linebacker. |

I voted yes, but not at the price he will demand.

Yes But you need really good corners to cover the WRs of other teams. And we play the NFC N lions and packers.

Not enough for the Jets to give him up or for Revis to want to stay.

Very tempting, but I say no. The cost will be expensive even though we have a lot of cap room. We also have a lot of spending to do in house. Revis is also coming off injury and honestly, CB is the most inconsistent position there is. There are no "shutdown" corners in this league. While he may have had a few seasons where he was close to that status, its highly overrated. Plus we have good depth there already.

See I think you need above average CB's and a great pass rush. I'd love to add a LB that can pass rush.

Re: Would you pull the trigger?
I'd rather give $7-8m a year for like 6 years to Jairus Byrd than $14m a year for 5 years to Revis.... then that $7m difference can be used to get Bowe as well.
Byrd + Bowe > Revis ![]()

We do need a playmaker though, outside of our defensive line. That has been the issue.

If we could get moch on the field it could improve an already dangerous Defense.. we need LBers that can and will cover TE's

If we did get Byrd, we would be putting about the same money in 1 Safety position. A 2 headed $14m monster at FS. Go ahead and move 1 to SS and watch our run defense start to look like Green Bay's.

No. Reggie Nelson plays both FS and SS since we've rolled out garbage next to him. If we get Byrd, Nelson could just permanently move to SS.

Nelson lines up as a SS most of the time anyways. The team doesn't have a set safety position, and never will, so I would wonder how they'd have Byrd when he rolls up.

Besides, Nelson only makes like $4m a year, so it'd be more like an $11-12m safety group, which while not a huge difference, is certainly better than the $14m you said.... and they'd have combined for 43 turnovers the last 4 seasons. Wow.

I voted yes since there were no stipulations. Sure I'd like to see him as a Bengal, but I don't want to pay the price it would cost.
I'd also like to see Marshawn Lynch, Vernon Davis, and Victor Cruz in stripes as well FWIW...

If Buffalo lets Byrd walk I will be shocked.
Would be a nice addition though. I would settle for Derek Cox and Pat Chung though. Maybe a flier on Greg Toler or Mike Jenkins. |

No without even thinking about it.....
Is Mike Brown going to pay Revis 16 million a year (which is what he reportedly wants after this year)? No chance So what everyone here is saying (by the poll results) is that you are willing to give up our 1st round pick (or multiple picks) in this years draft for ONE year of Revis coming off an ACL injury.

No way is he overrated, how can you be overrated when your the best at your position? But he does cost a lot, i wouldn't do it. I rather draft a guy.

Revis is an unreal football player.
But we already have a fantastic defense. We need to focus on improving the offense. We could sign BOTH Reggie Bush AND Dwayne Bowe for the $16m per year that Revis will be seeking.

Both of those players would DRASTICALLY change the Football team, for the better. I'm down. I think Reggie might be able to go lower, Bowe the same. 13-14 million for both!?
