Default No Country For Old Men

What a great movie this is.

Question,

Was Carla Jean murdered at the end?

I think she was, as he looked at his bottom of his shoes on the porch when he left (like to check for blood).

Maybe I remember the movie wrong, but didn't they take excessive liberties with the operation of a bolt gun? Having it shoot at a distance and such?

Or do I need to re-watch the movie?

Nah, you're remembering him shooting out door locks with it. He also had a silenced shotgun. Maybe you're meshing the two memories together.

GREAT movie by the way.

Yes. She was murdered. I am a fan of Cormac McArthy (wrote the book) and the Coen Brothers so this was a perfect fit for me. The book rocks too...movie stayed faithful, though. Great adaptation.

He only used the bolt gun twice: on the guy at the side of the road and on the door knob. In both cases, he put it right against them.

He used the bolt gun on the dude at the beginning, on the trailer door, the office building door and the hotel room door.

And the movie is correct, this is "No Country For Old Men".

I think he killed her, that's just the way he was. He told Brolin that he was going to, so he followed through.
