I must have missed something, did we sign him last year at some point? I checked his wiki, and his profile ended with Oakland, admittedly that is a wiki for a guy who up until now has been a bust in the NFL, so maybe it was not updated.

When did we pick him up and why isn't he still on the roster if we did?

I am not trying to be snarky or anything, I just don't remember him being with the team.

You didn't miss anything. I believe he meant that Curry came in for a visit during the end of the year. We didn't offer him a contract or sign him.

Now that the offseason is upon us it might not be such a bad idea to bring him in to compete for a LBer spot.

I wouldn't be upset with a TC with our LBers being:

Burfict
Howard
Lemur
Maybin
Curry
Draft pick. (Hodges, Thomas, Collins, Olgetree and yes even Teo).

Add a few more for TC and let the best players win the spot.

If Maybin and Curry were to live up to their draft status all of a sudden and Burfict transitions well as a MLB we could have a solid LBer core next season. I also read somewhere (this was during his draft and I don't have the link) that Curry could play MIKE.

Again if he plays to his draft status, Maybin at SAM, Curry at MIKE and Burfict at WILL.

I do know that Maybin has a high motor and is a pass rushing specialist. Curry is more of a coverage LBer. However their NFL history doesn't show this and the only way to know is try them out.
