Best value mock.
Resign:
Andre Smith, Michael Johnson, Thomas Howard, Kevin Huber, Josh Brown, Wallace Gilberry, Adam Jones, Terrence Newman, Pat Sims. FA: WR Domenik Hixon/Brian Hartline-I'd take either one of these two. Both would be great additions in our WR group. QB Matt Moore-I think Matt has the potential to be a stud in this league DE Lawrence Jackson-Former 1st round pick, we love 1st round picks, and he had a solid year of production this year in detroit. Good pick up here. CB Antoine Cason-Tall, long armed, fast, physical corner. Cason is a beast and zimmer would love him. THE NFL DRAFT: Trade out of the first round and pick up a 2nd and 3rd. 2. Barrett Jones OT/OG/C Alabama ![]() Where ever we want/need to put him, he can play, and play very well. Great value pick. 2b. Matt Elam SS Florida ![]() Best Tackeling safety in the draft hands down. The guy flys around the feild. Covers well with good ball skills. We need a top notch safety in this draft and Elam is aregubly the best in the draft. 2c. Montee Ball RB Wisconsin ![]() I mean its Montee Ball, lets get him and forget about this RB situation once and for all. 3a.Jamie Collins OLB Missouri ![]() Collins to me will be a day starter. Hes a converted DB and flys around the field and can cover extremely well. He is 6'3 245lbs, hes a monster. 3b. Gerald Hodges ILB Penn state ![]() Hodges can play both inside and outside, i think hodges here is the much better pick then ogletree in the first. 4. Kevin Reddick ILB North Carolina ![]() Kevin Reddick would take skuta's spot and be a solid upgrade, and back up in the middle. Reddicks a beast. 5. Levine Toilolo TE Stanford ![]() Hes 6'8 270lbs. He is the next generation tight end. He is the future, but he is raw. Needs time, but here in the 5th he is well worth the pick. He will be a stud. 6a. David Bass DE Missouri Western State ![]() Bass is 6'4 265lbs. 40.5 sacks in 4 years. Hes a small school work horse who is relentless after the QB. Alot of comparison to Aldon Smith. 6b. Kerwynn Williams RB Utah State ![]() I dont see much of a difference at all between this guy and barner. Montee Ball coupled with this guy in the back field would spell game over for any team playing us ha He has blazing speed good hands and can weave his way through the defense so smoothly it looks effortless. Depth Chart QB:Andy Dalton, Matt Moore, Zach Robinson FB:Chris Pressley/John Connor RB:Montee Ball, BJGE, Kerwynn WIlliams, Dan Herron WR:AJ Green, Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones, Domenik Hixon, Andrew Hawkins, Ryan Whalen/Justin Hilton(i think Hilton can def produce at this level, and help this team) TE:Jermaine Gresham, Orsan Charles, Levine Toilolo LT:Andrew Whitworth, Anthony Collins LG:Barrett Jones, Clint Boling C:Trevor Robinson, Barrett Jones RG:Kevin Zietler, Barrett Jones RT:Andre Smith, Barrett Jones, Dennis Roland LE:Carlos Dunlap, Lawrence Jackson, David Bass DT:Geno Atkins, Brandon Thompson NT: Devon Still, Pat Sims, Domata Peko RE:Michael Johnson, Wallace Gilberry, Aaron Maybin WLB: Gerald Hodges, Emanuel Lamur MLB:Vontaze Burfict, Kevin Reddick SLB:Jamie Collins, Thomas Howard, Aaron Maybin CB:Leon Hall, Antoine Cason, Adam Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick, Terrance Newman, Brandon Ghee. FS:Reggie Nelson, Taylor Mays, George Iloka SS: Elam, Robert Sands P:Kevin Huber K:Josh Brown KR/3DRB:Kerwynn Williams Go Bengals...This Draft will not change. love it or hate it. That's pretty awesome. Though no Bulldogs in this draft, so probably unrealistic hah.
Also, not sure I agree with you on Matt Moore.

I like the 3 LBs, but I'd think that you'd get more value from Greene in Round two and Jefferson or P. Thomas in round 3.

Re: Best value mock.
all but 1 of these guys in the draft will see significant playing time. Levine Toilolo is the only one in this draft who will not play that much but by drafting him it puts an end to the roland experiment so when we do the big boi package toilolo will go in.

All three of the 2nd round picks could go in the first. I think Barrett and Elam are almost a guarantee to go in 1. It could be a toss up and depending on the evaluator I could see Ball, Lacy, and Gio all ranked as the top HB on different teams boards.
3 LBs is overkill. I doubt Bass lasts til the 6th. But other than your free agents I would be pretty happy if we landed all them. |

That linebacking corp is scary.
And not the good kind of scary. Two rookies and a 2nd year undrafted free agent starting at a different position than last year as the starters. Other than that, I'd be happy with this draft. You went a little overkill with the defense picks, but overall, it improves our team.

So the Bengals have their best roster in how many years and you want to trade out of the first to pick up a couple extra picks and draft a total of 9 players, when 3-5 might dress on game days next year. BRILLIANT!

Quote:
Pick 1..Barrett jones starts at either guard or center pick 2..Elam Starts at safety Pick 3..Montee Ball Starts at Running back Pick 4..Collins starts at Outside Backer Pick 5..Gerlad Hodges Starts at outside Backer(burfict plays Mike) pick 6..Kevin Reddick Backs up burfict...takes Skutas, immediate upgrade over skuta. pick 7..Levine Toilolo Would be a project and yes probably wouldnt play much outside of the big boy package but could be the future. Pick 8..David Bass Would be immediatley thrown into our DE rotation and would start pileing up the sacks in the league. pick 9.. Kerwynn Williams our 3rd down open space back. true speedster. also would return kicks. outside Toilolo i see 8 outa 9 of these guys playing a ton next year and althought young our Linebackers would be epic. Seattle is piled high with young stud linebaCKERS and they were all over the field. Only draft i like is this. Im sticking to my guns on this. Last edited by RIPChrisHenry; 01-29-2013 at 03:01 AM. |

Best mock I have seen. Addresses Oline, Saftey, RB, and really like the run of LBs. Picking that many, maybe one or two work out. I dont think 3 LB is overkill, because most picks after 3rd round dont pan out anyway. So just playing the odds while creating camp competition.

5 first year starters? That's the unrealistic part of this.
I can't see the Bengals (or just about any other team) drafting 5 guys that will start in the first year. |

yea i like the lb's as well, we should really look to take at least 2 in this draft, but im not sure why he has us taking montee ball, why would we need or want him, better value backs in mid rounds, i'm interested to see that rb from utah st

Safety and running back I wanted to address early with top talent, both ball and elam are among the top players at their pos imo and both immediately start and put an end to the worry any of us share at the position. Ball reminds me alot of Arian Foster with his patience, vision, stride, power, and athleticism. Big ball fan, only knock...he carried wisonson. I also like joseph randle with this pick, gio bernard, and or andre ellington

Yea bernard is way overhyped imo. Only reason I mention him is becuase this place is packed with gio fans. Hes slow. there are way too many backs id rather have in the afc north. Honestly my favorite two backs r Christine michael and michael dyer I also love Zach stacy too tho.
