Probably lost out to Gruden on who the next back were going to draft. Anderson wants a Montee Ball type and Gruden wants a Gio Bernard type.

Re: RB coach Jim Anderson retires
I wonder what horrible option at running back they told him they were going to acquire to make him retire all of the sudden?

What if he was actually let go and then decided to retire?

Interesting if Gruden has the kind of pull to force Anderson out.

Montee isn't Anderson's style. He probably wants someone like Lacy, a bruiser. Montee is more of a Ray Rice type of back. Which is not Anderson's type.

In a perfect world, he should. It is a coordinator and a position coach.

True. It's just that it took Marvin 8 years to get rid of Brat... Anderson seems like he would have been protected more. Especially with Gruden still trying to gain his footing (to put it nicely) as an OC in this league.

I would guess that seniority counts with the Bengals. Hey, 29 years as a position coach is long enough. He served his time and now he gets a well deserved rest. I don't think new blood will hurt a bit.

This is a quote of the conversation between Jim, Marvin and Mike Brown and his retirement:
Jim: Marvin why am I out? Marvin: You're not a wartime RB Coach, Jim. Things may get rough with the moves we're trying. Mike Brown: Jim, I advised Marvin. I never thought you were a bad RB coach. Marvin has all my confidence as..as do you. But there are reasons why you must have no part nothing in what's going to happen. Jim: Maybe I could help. Marvin: You're out, Jim |

The second I find to be so massively overrated, its ridiculous; 3 is a superior film in all aspects, IMO, aside from the acting, which is paltry in comparison to the other 2 films.
1 is just cinema perfection though. If an Italian watches it and doesn't feel proud or at home, then you aren't an Italian; even if you aren't from Sicily you'll feel this way.

I was referring to his playing style being similar to that of Rice.

Best wishes on your retirement Coach. May your dreams the rest of your life take you to a happy place where you are watching Jim Brown and Barry Sanders in Bengals uniforms running freely into the endzone.

Nah, neither Bernard or Ball are Anderson type RBs. And those are probably the type of players Gruden is looking to bring in.

Get the Wisconsen Center and RB call it a day.

Does Hue move onto that side of the ball or do they bring in someone tied to our new RB?
