Default Hall of Fame.

A co-worker and I got into a debate about Hall of Fame. He was telling me Ben is a shoe in for the Hall of fame and I told him not really..Should he go based on achievements? yes indeed but that doesn't mean he will. Bens on the latter side of his career what do you think?

Not sure he is a shoe in, but he will more than likely get in the HOF. He has had a great career and won titles for Pitt, so I really cannot see a reason why he wouldnt. With that being said I cannot see a reason why Chris Carter, Andre Reed, Marvin Harrison, Kenny Anderson and several others arent in either.

I think it has to do with rings.. For some reason they base that HoF on rings..and rings are a team thing but who knows. I agree though!

Marvin Harrison isn't eligible yet.

A few SB appearances and wins... a huge fan base for his team... solid stats...

While I wouldn't say he's a shoe-in, he is pretty close. Unless he gets caught gambling or raping little girls, etc., he is pretty set.

Not a 1st ballot guy but things could change. But he will eventually go. Two SB rings will help. A shoe in if he ever wins MVP or another SB.

Well they shouldnt base it on the rings he earned but overall stats compared to other greats.

How close is he to becoming most sacked of all time?

He's in....I don't think there's any question to it, maybe not first ballot, but he's in. It's a travesty Kenny Anderson is not in.

I think he will make it, however, not sure how he racks up against the all time greats. I mean, HoF voting is basically about how many Super Bowls you won/played in and things of that nature. So I think he will make it based on that, but definitely no 1st ballot.
