On Dec. 5, Lewis practiced for the first time. He did not play in the final regular-season games, but remained a boisterous sideline presence and joined the jubilant locker room celebration after Baltimore routed the Giants 33-14 on Dec. 23 to win the AFC North.

Lewis had not talked to media for 10 weeks while he rehabbed his injury. Asked by SI if he had worked with Key and Ross during his recovery, he initially demurred. "I didn't work with them personally this time," he said.

When pressed, Lewis said, "Nobody helped me out with the rehab. I've been doing S.W.A.T.S. for a couple years through Hue Jackson, that's it. That's my only connection to them."

Asked if he had talked to Ross the night of his injury, Lewis replied, "I told him to send me some more of the regular stuff, the S.W.A.T.S., the stickers or whatever."

And did they help?

"I think a lot of things helped me."

So yeah...no so much "No. Never."

But, to be clear, you at least can admit now that he did use something from these guys...you just don't want him asked about it. Besides he said he didn't.

No one ever said Ray was very smart. He probably just misunderstood.

So are you admitting now that he did call the guy and asked for the stuff? Because I thought your entire argument is based on Ray saying, to the media, just yesterday, that he NEVER took anything from them. Yet he knew who to call and told them to send "everything you got".

You know, you'd think with all of the resources at hand for Sports Illustrated, someone along the line would have told them that synthetic HGH/IGF is on the NFL's banned substance list, that deer antler is a food product with just trace amounts of natural IGF that are comparable to levels found in some dairy products and that it does not do what they claim it can do. Deer antler specialists and human hormone experts and doctors have already said as much. But why let facts get in the way of a good story .... glad I outgrew that rag a long time ago.

He admits he lied to police.

They gave him the plea bargain because the evidence for him having a knife in his hand was one witness...and Ray said he would testify against his friends.

Then he said he didn't know anything.
