It was just a jab. I'm for Brian Hartline as much as anyone else, but he's probably the only FA I've ever seen that was approved by most on these boards.

As for DMC's injuries, yeah he's had some issues there, but he's not Chris Perry.

Chris Perry missed 45 games in 5 years. DMC has missed 23 games in 5 years.

Plus Perry couldn't sniff DMC's jock when it comes to production or talent.

You have it backwards.

He was in a zone blocking scheme this year and was terrible in it.

Brian Hartline is garbage. (Not really terrible, but not that good either.) I cannot believe people want to spend a decent amount of money on him.

I'd be for it if he'd agree to a new deal for around 4 years 20 million. Otherwise, no. He's due 8 mil and is in his last year. Plus, I can't see the Raiders giving him for the 2nd rounder they just gave us. Just to save face, I don't think they make that deal.

Well if he's traded, he would require an extension (he only has 1 year left). 4 years 20 million sounds about right for him. You may be right about the saving face part though.

Please no, I mean I'd love the idea but let's be serious. He would be out after week 3 with turf toe or something. It would cost to much why not use that 2nd to pick up Gio who has the same skill set and you still get to keep your other one. It would also be much cheaper.

Plus he is injury prone. But will leave that up to Hue.

The voice of reason. I don't see the hartline love either. Would love to see McFadden here, but I don't see it happening. I don't the raiders giving him up or the bengals ponying up what it might take to get/sign him.

DMC had his best production when Hue was OC or HC in Oakland (5.3 per carry). Compare that to the 3.6 per carry DMC has averaged without Hue.

I know DMC has been discussed (and mostly shot down, as all FA's are on here...unless they went to OSU), but with DMC likely on the market and Hue as our RB coach, I think it's an intriguing option.

DMC would certainly bring the speed that Jay wants as well.

I would've loved to have seen it (infact it was originally my controversial idea), but Oakland fired their OC + decided to keep McFadden as their centerpiece. Well consider he got about a quarter of that in one game. 800~ yards in 15 games is less than impressive

I doubt he was seeing many double teams either.

In the other 15 games he averaged 55 yards with 0 TD's.

That said, I think he'd be a reliable target as a #2. As long as he doesn't get over 6 mil (I don't think he will), I'd still be cool with bringing him in.

55 yards/game is still more than Binns/Tate/Sanu/Jones averages combined.

I think Hartline would benefit from AJ more than AJ would benefit from Hartline if that makes sense. Hartline is a good fit as a #2 WR and he didn't have that true #1 guy in Miami.
