On the one hand I want to overreact...on the other hand, the Bengals are a franchise that could very well have a Super Bowl (and that'd be one less for the Steelers, even) save a single blow to the knee.

Meh. Face it, this sport has been getting wimpy since players started wearing helmets.

the sport got soft when they starting build domes and usually always have the superbowl in a warm climate. is it just me or should the football season last until at least march? i mean here we are feb 2nd and the last game of the year is tomorrow. we just started getting snow a couple weeks ago and today was the coldest day of the year. but the foot ball season ends tomorrow?

I kind of agree about the domes. When I think about home field advantage I think of something that makes life difficult for the opposition a la Mile High, Lambeau, etc. I wouldn't mind seeing less domes.

As for the longer season, I'm of the thought that 16 is a huge challenge to players to make it through. Not only injury wise but just physically and mentally. We'd all want to see more football though. My belief is still in a credible minor league. However, remove 2 or 3 preseason games and add 2 weeks and a bye? I dunno. Really agree with the longer season. But right now that would mean starting in October to make it to march.
