Default 49ers to trade QB Alex Smith in offseason

Cleveland & Kansas City are 2 possible destinations.

It's great that they are going to trade him, but they should let him have a little input where he goes, I like Cincy.

Here's my early prediction: we'll be facing him twice a year against Cleveland.

If he's going to a team that isn't complete, I predict him regressing right back to where he was pre Harbaugh.

Agreed. No reason to give up on a young QB that has done as well as Andy has already

Why wouldn't he go to Arizona and play the 9ers' twice a year with a HUGE chip on his shoulder?

Because he knows that O-line will probably give him another concussion and he loses his job again

cleveland will draft barkley. bet on smith being a cardinal or eagle. he wont enter the AFC let alone the most difficult dvision in the NFL, the AFCN.

Dalton is not the problem. Sometimes I think the only reason people gripe about him is because they have nothing better to do or simply like to read the word of their own writing, similar to when people complaining just to hear the sound of their own voice.

Cleveland is the most logical fit for him.

Best for us to give dalton another year or two before benching him for a guy that took 7 years to become succesful.

I'm guessing he either winds up in Arizona to learn under Arians or Cleveland and reunites with the only other coach who made him look good, Norv Turner.

The New York Jets might have the worst current quarterback situation in the NFL and I can see Rex Ryan trying to get his Front Office to sign someone experienced like Alex Smith to play there.
