Ok, How I see it is that we all know we need a LB. I know there are other needs but if we are to to pick a LB at round 1. Who would you love to see in a Bengal Uniform the most and if you wish you can put why.
Brown, Arthur ILB 6'1" 228 Kansas St. Jones, Jarvis LB 6'3" 241 Georgia Jordan, Dion OLB 6'7" 241 Oregon Te'o, Manti ILB 6'2" 255 Notre Dame Ogletree, Alec LB 6'3" 232 Georgia Minter, Kevin LB 6'1" 245 LSU Skov, Shayne ILB 6'3" 251 Stanford Jenkins, Brandon OLB 6'3" 260 Florida St. My pick despite the whole GF thing is Manti Te'o. Though he is small I think he would be a good fit in a 4-3 and if he can stay focus on and off the field I could settle with this pick. There other LB's are good as well but I can't make my mind completely up until I see the combine results and hear news on the pro days. I would like to hear everyone's Point of view on the LB situation. |

Jones or Ogletree in the first round for me but I think getting Arthur Brown in the 2nd would be the best value. Not a Teo fan at all and it doesn't have anything to do with the GF thing. I just think the guy is too much like Rey. He over-pursues and doesn't always get off blocks well. Also Shayne Skov is back at Stanford for another season. Khaseem Greene is another 2nd round possibility as well. I am much higher on Brown but a lot of people on this board like Greene.

Minter or Brown in the 2nd for me, safety or Oline in the first is my wish, unless we get Goldson or Byrd in FA then I'd like strictly oline in the first, we must protect Dalton and give him time and a solid pocket. Dalton will never succeed without great pass protection.......and I really hope Sanu and Marvin Jones develop as solid starters this year.

If we had a shot at Jarvis Jones, you better believe he'd be a bengal haha

Jarvis jones is the only one worth a 1st rounder - but he will be long gone.
Give it up on the LBs though. We have almost ZERO chance of picking a LB in round one. |

Ogletree, Minter. Skov went back to school and was not 1st round material.

Ogletree is the only ILB I really want in the first. Minter is a tackling machine who was never really a playmaker and Te'o is a big bulky LB that can stop the run but probably won't adjust to the passing game in the NFL. Unless he loses about 15 lbs, I could see him easily becoming a liability in pass coverage and be forced over to SLB.
Same with Nico Johnson. I want nothing to do with that guy either. I don't want to replace Rey with someone just like him. I would love Kevin Reddick in the 2nd or 3rd as well. That kid can make plays. Other options I would love in the 2nd are either Arthur Brown or Khaseem Greene. Those two are strong, fast LBs that can cover sideline to sideline.

reddick is a 4th-5th round grade, taking him in the 2nd is way too early.

None. We should pick up a free agent LB.

No thanks. I don't think that I like any backer in the first round.

I love Dion Jordan but he is more suited for the 3-4 and would have to be converted to DE here where he would become MJII.

Folks are silly:
Ogletree T'eo Jones Minter Jordan would all be fine picks at #21. As to who I would want it would be Jones, but it's a slim chance he'll be there; same with T'eo, Jordan, and Ogletree. |

Here is a nice write up of Dion Jordan which says he could fit nicely into the 4-3 SAM position......

Agreed. No LB in the 1st. I think we should look to Free Agency for one.

Yeah no backer in the 1st for you because you want a stupid receiver.

I want Ogletree but from what is being said he probably won't be there at 21.

I would grab either ogletree or jones. However IF jones is there it most likely means his medical issues arent doing so well. Where we are picking its basically if jones is GTG he will be picked much higher than 21, but if hes not he should be picked much later than 21.

We have a MUCH higher chance of grabbing a LB in the first rather than a WR. This may be a shock to you but most people ARE NOT on the same page as you thinking we will be grabbing WR's early as ****. Guarantee the bengals staff isnt on the same page as you, as they shouldnt be.

There are only a few LBs I would consider in 1.
Jones (who most likely won't be there) Te'o (who might now) Ogletree (maybe, but not ahead of Vaccaro, Patterson or Allen)

Unless Jones falls to us. Would rather take whichever one falls into our lap in 2nd round.
Preferring and hoping for Minter or Jordan. Certainly could live with LB in 1st though. But the offense desperately needs help.

There will be much better players available at other positions when we pick. Almost no chance of picking LB unless we trade down quite a bit. |

Depending on what type of LB we're looking for, it may be best to wait for our 2B, 3, or 4 pick. Personally would rather move Burfict to MLB and draft an OLB with either 2B or 3. |
