I am surprised they even measured. All game they've given the Ratbirds an extra yard on anything close. Also the James fumble should have been ruled forward progress. The running into the kicker should have been roughing and like usual the Ravens secondary is allowed to get away with everything. Did I miss anything?

Phil Siims is trying too hard to justify the no-call. First he claimed it happened within 5 yards. When Nantz pointed out the the goalline was 5 yards, Simms just started spinning. To me it's hard to throw the flag because the ball was overthrown - but I've seen passes more uncatchable that still got the call.

But really, Phil Simms is horrible.

I thought since the hold happened after the pass was in the air the ball had to be catchable to call it. If it happened prior to the pass then the flag must be thrown reguardless. Maybe I'm wrong - that's just what I thought.

The fade is such a low percentage play because if its not there you waste a play. I'm not sure why you'd ever run that on a 4th down with the Superbowl on the line.

Did anyone seriously think that the NFL was going to let Ray Lewis go out losing in the Superbowl?

A BS PI on the 49ers keeping the drive alive and a no call blatant hold was all the Ravens needed to win.

The hold happened when the initial contact happened all the way to the throw. Plus the contact past 5 yards. Was definitely the poster child of holding and illegal contact. If it had been called I don't think there is a single person who could have argued it wasn't the right call.

Like I said, no way in Hell the NFL was going to send Ray out with a loss. Hell I find it amusing how some of the pundits stated that if Baltimore won it'd be by 3 or less and if the 49ers won it'd be by 7 or more.

But then he NEVER disagrees with the refs on the field.

Should have been def. holding at the end there, especially with the hand grasping the jersey in plain sight of the ref. Refs overall were terrible tonight considering it was the Super Bowl. If this was the best crew out there, then the NFL needs new refs.

Anyways Ravens dominated the game up until the outage and got some help by the refs to win it at the end.

I would say they picked this crew because the head ref was african-american and it was a pure p.c. decision. But someone would disagree and it would lead to long drawn out arguments I dont care to argue about lol.

Yeah the offside on the 2-pt conversion wasn't called either. Ravens definitely got some favorable calls tonight, but they deserved to win it.

Can't wait to hear about how Ray Lewis carried them to a victory, when he played one of the worst games of his career.

There was a shift in momentum after the James fumble but that was a horrible call as the fumble was caused about 2 yards behind James forward progress. It's never been a fumble when you hit a guy pull him back a couple yards and the second guy causes the fumble. Play should have been blown dead immediately. Right when it happened there were like 5 49ers standing around because they thought the same thing. Forward progress should definitely be reversible on a turnover.
