Does anyone have a plasma TV?

I bought a 55" Panasonic Plasma last year and love it. Looks great , easy to setup and use. Mine also has 3D capabilities but I've never used it as you have to buy the glasses which aren't cheap !

I just seen a video on YouTube for a 152" Panasonic Plasma. Said they're not for sale yet though, but the video was from 2010 so who knows.

Based on estimates for lifespan and how much TV we watch, I should get at least 5 years out of it. In 5 years I'm sure there will be even better stuff available anyway.

Bought this about 2 yrs ago and couldn't be happier with it. Did a lot of research on when to buy it, timed it perfectly and got a smoking deal. I would highly suggest doing some research on decide.com.

They seem to think the price on your set will go down by $300 in the next couple of weeks. Claimed the same thing on mine, and it happened.

Get an LED. I have a Sharp Aquos and it blows my friends Sony Plasma out of the water.

Yeah i have a cheap LCD thats the brightest TV i have seen. Its half life is 50,000 (its a sanyo im sure theres better... But soon all will be LED tv's) which probly save on power consumtion as well.

What ever happened to the 4 color TV's?

Sorry for Hijacking thanks for answering.

I just remembered when those commericals first came out i told people they shouldnt buy them because something new would be along soon after... Same with the 3d TV's... Which are cool but not supported by much. (yet anyways)...

But now is a good time to buy LCD's and plasma's as the prices are dropping fast.

Does plasma still run into the Dead pixel issues?

The newest sharp ones are still 4 colors. I think they might have patented the technology? I dont think other manufacturers have 4 colors. Im not even sure if it makes a difference. Sharp called it Quatron technology. I think it was a marketing ploy more than anything.

4 color TVs are still on the market. I picked up a 46" Sharp Aquos Quattron LED right after Christmas. Fantastic TV. Sharp picture, really slim design.

I had been looking at plasmas for almost a year, and decided ultimately to go LED. I don't regret my decision at all, and everyone who comes to my house comments on the great picture quality compared to their TV.

Yeah biggest things to remember... You want a Flatpanel (not flat screen) if it has a projector in the back it will ****...

Other than that there is very little differences. Other than the new 120hertz TVs

Really most times i find someone complaining about their HD tv its because either A they only have RBG connections no component or hdmi or they are watching low def channels on their cable box.

(but im sure no one here runs into those issues lol)
