I totally agree. They should bring back Gilberry too. I'm just not sure if Frostee would still make more money than we'd like to pay him. I think Fanene would work for less so I'd definitely give him a shot.

Very funny! What a wasteland Cleveland football has been. I liked Frostee and thought he didn't get enough credit here, but we are pretty stacked at D-tackle with last year's draft class. If we bring in Frostee, it is a definite commentary on what Zimm thinks about the real potential of last year's picks. |

Definitely release Geathers. Re-sign Frostee? IDK.

Amend that to "don't re-sign Geathers"

Ill take Rucker back only if we need him. With Gilberry, Johnson, Geathers and Dunlap I don't see a need.
This guy has to be more about money then winning I mean seriously Cleveland? You dug your own grave Frostee.

He signed in Cleveland, because he wanted more snaps and be a starter.
Nothing has changed from our perspective to make him a starter and pay him starter money. He would still be a back-up here, even if we signed him again. Nothing has changed from his perspective. He will want starter money and he will have to find it somewhere else. The Bengals have moved on and so should have Rucker. We have a very good rotation at the D-line and should continue to fill mainly through the draft |

I like Ding more than Rucker at this point, but would take Frostee over Geathers.
Out of the three, Gilberry should be the priority.

Why not?
I don't think he's going to command alot of money, he's primarily a run-stopping DE and provides excellent containment, and is durable. The ones that eat up the money are the ones that get after the QB as well. However, I would not be opposed to signing Gilberry and using him to replace Geathers and then possibly drafting another DE later. |

Frostee costs less than vandenbosh, right? Bet Detroit could grab him.

Wasn't Frostee playing in a 3-4 in Cleveland
Stats I like is he played and started every game. Bottom line should come cheap, he knows our system, he thrives in a rotation. What we need to figure out if he is better than Anderson or not Gilberry is a priority sign. |

He'd be an upgrade over Geathers though. Younger and likely cheaper too.

He is 33 days younger than Geathers. Not sure that's a big difference.

Rucker released by Cleveland
I heard on Mike and Mike this morning that Cleveland released Frostee Rucker.
Can we pick him up again to take Geather's spot at a decent price. This would be an upgrade for sure, and we already know he works well in a rotation. Not sure how much he would be asking for, but I think he still has ties with the city and would be willing to come back at a decent price?? |

Could easily see the Bengals picking him up. Can't imagine there is much demand for him on the market. He would come reasonably cheap.

Re: Rucker released by Cleveland
I'm not sure whoever that is. True...we're set at DT with Peko, Atkins, Still, and Thompson. But if he's an upgrade over the last two and he really wants to be here, then we could always cut either Still or Thompson to make room for him, but not sure which Seattle player you are referring to.
