Great movies you knew nothing about

I don't remeber ever hearing anything about "Raising Arizona" when it was in theatres, and it is one of the funniest movies of all time.

Same with "The Big Lebowski".

I thought it was going to be a crappy kids animated movie, and it turns out to be a freaking great western.

I highly recommend city of god , it's an awesome Brazilian crime drama. Not very known and you need subtitles unless you speak Portuguese but great movie!!

Oh god, I watched that movie after i ate some mushrooms (may have been magical ). We were sitting around scrolling through Netflix for like what seemed like an eternity and Rango popped up and we all just looked at each other like hell yeah lol. It was awesome. I feel like that's why that movie was made. 10/10 . It was a badass movie.

Fearless (the Jeff Bridges one).
A Simple Plan
Adventureland
Zombieland

I am going to take this opportunity to give props to a great film not many people have heard about. "Hurlyburly" starring Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright Penn, Chazz Palminteri, Garry Shandling, and Meg Ryan.


If nothing else you should see the movie for Meg Ryan's portrayal of a nasty hooker. It is so totally opposite of any role she has ever played.

It's actually a pretty awesome western just as is...I thought it was going to be weird and dumb, but it was awesome

Two movies come to mind that I knew nothing about when they were released: Fargo and Big Fish, both of which rank in my top 20 favorites of all time. If you've not seen either one and appreciate quality storylines and appropriate productions, check these out.

You know that Raising Arizona is one of my favs too.

The other movie I love that most people go "Huh.. what's that?" is True Romance. Great cast and plenty of violence/dark humor.

Also.... Better Off Dead. What a great Kusak movie.

The one that caught me off guard and I never heard of until a friend of mine at work gave me to watch was Boondock Saints. I had never even seen a commercial for that movie. I love that kind of weird dark action movie.

If you haven't seen Suicide Kings or The Ref. Do yourself a favor and watch em'. You gotta like Dennis Leary though.

Frailty is so good because it makes you go... "Oh man I hope no one gets ideas from this movie!" Then you go "Wait a minute... there probably are some people out there already who think that way!"

The creepiness is that the thought that someone is thinking they are doing something good that is not... or is it? Yikes.

No, probably not, last time was just spur of the moment type deal.

Although I did see Borat for the first time on them and boy was that hilariously awesome years back.

You're nuts. I couldn't imagine being in public lol, nor would I want too, although I knew people that did that and went and seen Alice in Wonderland in theater.
