Well, I'm completely ****ed in terms of paying, so there's that. My family is incredibly poor and I just failed a drug test that would put me in a position to help me pay a TON. I have no idea what I'm doing and I have absolutely no idea how to find out what I don't know what I'm doing

Sounds about right for a typical start to college. Was the drug test for a scholarship?

A job with UPS. They help pay for college, except you work a 12-4 AM shift (Usually earlier and later, though)

That's not surprising. FedEx and UPS are very strict on drug testing. When I worked security at FedEx, we must've seen at least one person fired a day for drugs.

I just applied for a work study. It's obviously really hard to get in with a coach. Lol. But I think I can try something tomorrow

Seems like someone in the athletic office could help you set something up. Even if it isn't with Charlie Strong, I imagine you could contact a position coach. At least the season and recruiting is over so they have more time.

Get ready to work like a slave if you're unloading trucks. Worst job I ever had. They basically expect you to do 8 to 10 hours of work in 4 to 5 hours. It was ridiculous. Good luck though

I actually did that when I was in school. Expect I loaded the trucks and it was from 3:30-8:30am.

Maybe there's a big difference between loading unloading but I actually thought it wasn't all that hard. Plus, you get get a decent workout in every day. The only thing that ****** were the hours. Honestly, I kinda wished I would have stayed longer (UPS pays really good money to any full timer and I'd imagined I could have worked my way up) but I left after about a year.

The one I was at, even a good brisk pace wasn't good enough. They had dudes who just walked around demanding that you go faster and faster. The OHSHA rules they have now would have a field day with the way they were doing things in the early 90's. Completely unsafe tbph.

I would imagine it's different now just to comply with stricter basic safety standards. I missed having my head knocked off by a box falling from the top of the trailer by about two inches cuz I was ripping through through the trailer like a mad man and not paying attention.

They have to soon enough. God it has been a rough patch since last march. Been working through alot...eveytime I feel like im on track something else shows its ugly head. But hey I will get through it.
