Default Once you go Mac, you don't go back.
zOMG. I bought me a Mac today at Best Buy. The one I got was the 15" MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Core i7 with 4GB ram and 500 GB hard-drive. I did a lot of research before making the purchase and am very pleased with it! The picture is comparable to my newer HDTV. It's a beauty! Only complaint I have is why it came stock with only 4GB Ram, should of at least been 8 GB! Oh well, in the immediate future, I plan on taking that out and putting 16 gigs in it.

As much crap as Best Buy gets, I found it to be a pretty smooth process, the salesmen wasn't even that bad. They price matched it for me ( I found the same laptop at Micro Center for $100 cheaper) and that was simple too. I also chose to do the 18 month financing which is pretty nice because there's no interest involved whatsoever.

Anyhow, I'm just a happy camper with my new toy and wanted to share! (And incase anyone else was in the market for a newer laptop)

Congrats! Willing to bet you won't ever regret the purchase, and good to hear the Best Buy experience was positive. When it comes time for me to buy my next one, I'll check them out. Usually I deal directly with the manufacturers online when I buy their products.

Additional food for thought, I saved $200 buying it from Best Buy instead of online from apple!

Yeah, this isn't my first Mac but thanks! It is, however, my first brand new, up to date Mac! I had an outdated ibook G4 before this and decided it was time to upgrade and boy it was worth it!

Or you coulda just threw the os on a laptop you have lying around...assuming you have one lying around....just sayin

It is a pain in the *** compared to PC. I would never own a mac.

Yep, it's called a Hackintosh which benchmarks top the Win 8 64 bit on my other SSD.

No. The PC I let my five year old use, I just bought new in December. Already, it is loaded with viruses and malware. It's not just the porno pervs who get them.

If Mac ever gets a big enough share of the market, they too will become virus infested machines. As it stands now though, they only control about 10-20 percent of the market.
