Dre, Big Z, Still, Thompson, Sanu, Charles, Prater, Jones, Iloka, Herron, Burfict, Lamur--our young guys. In your opinion, how good will they be?

Any stars or future PBers? Any with no future at all?

Z, Burfict, healthy Dre could make a pro bowl. Sanu and Jones will both be solid guys from here on out. Charles on this team may simply never be given a chance but he looks like hes gonna be solid. idk about the other guys

Dre = jury is still out
Z = possible top 10 G in the AFC for the rest of this decade
Still + Thomson = jury is still out
Sanu = He + Hawk in the slot should be solid for the next few years
Charles = looks to be a solid TE2 in the league
Jones = looks like he has potential to be a good #4 WR (backing up both Green + Wallace on the outside?)
Burfict = Good LB, plays w/ intensity.....should be a solid starter here for several years
The Rest = Special teams/practice squad/trade bait

All in all, going into year 2 it looks to have been a pretty solid class

Dre- Becomes a decent starter but injuries cut his career short(a la Keith Rivers)
Z- Becomes a top 10 G in the NFL
Still- starts getting activated after Sims leaves and we find a good rotational piece for our d-line
Thompson- Gets worked in more, and becomes a solid player, after we part ways with Peko because Geno will command top dollar
Sanu- Becomes a decent #2 and draws just enough attention away from Green to make our offense less predictable.
Charles- Flashes solid potential but we don't resign him because Jay Gruden doesn't feature a 2 TE set enough and moves on to become a decent starting TE.

Jones, Iloka, and Herron- See above.
Burfict- Offers an improvement over Rey and becomes solid.
Lamur- Becomes a good backup and special teamer.

Zeitler - all pro level play at guard for many years
Still - becomes a third DT and helps Geno with rotation
Sanu - slot receiver eventually while splitting 2 WR sets with Marvin
Thompson - eventually starts over Peko in 2014
Charles - plays very good backup TE role. Maybe leaves after rookie contract
Prater - special teamer for a year, then cut
Marvin - starts at WR2, spends a lot of time on the field taking some snaps off with Hawkins and Sanu in on 3 WR sets with AJ, or some Redzone looks where Sanu goes in at WR2
Iloka - maybe a few spot starts, but only this year.. Or cut after this year
Herron - cut after this offseason
Burfict - starts at MIKE, struggles. Moves to SAM, succeeds
Robinson - starter at C for a couple of years
Lamur - core STs guy for a while

Kirkpatrick - Liked him from college. He has a good upside, just people tend to ignore it because he was hurt all season. He has great potential and I think will surprise A LOT of people (especially people on these boards).
Zeitler - Will be one of the best guards for years to come. Still has to grow, but doing extremely well already.
Still - Great talent, but has taken plays off. Also was hurt, but I think he will start to impress some people. I expect a very good compliment to Atkins for years to come, but definitely needs to grow.
Thompson - Undersized, but people tend to act like he will be like Atkins. I don't think so. But he definitely has talent. I think he will be a VERY good rotational player.
Sanu - The future #2 of the Cincinnati Bengals. Great hands and very good route runner. Also, expect him to throw a TD pass again some time next year.
Charles - Will not be utilized to his full potential. But has good hands, will continue to be a good #2 TE.
Prater - See this guy being a very good nickel CB. He has speed and I think he will surprise A LOT of people as well. Such as Kirkpatrick.
Jones - I like his potential, although I don't think he will be a #2. Great speed, and will continue to grow into a reliable receiver down the line.
Iloka - Good ST player. Depending on the draft, I could see him being the SS of the Bengals.
Herron - Very good ST player. Also could see him take the returner status next year (hoping Tate leaves)
Burfict - The Bengals finally get a good, young LB. Will be the leader of this defense, and will be one of the better LBs in the league
Lamur - Good player in situational plays. Could see him do well in coverage. I like him, but not sure if he is a starter.

So for Pro Bowl players? I see Kirkpatrick, Zeitler, and Burfict. The one I see being to multiple? Zeitler

Dre - Knees and skinny frame keep him from being on the field. Minimal impact while here, gone after rookie deal.

Zeitler - Locks down the RG position for 10 years as one of the best.

Still - Solid rotational piece and nickel pass rusher.

Thompson - Takes over NT spot when Peko is done.

Sanu - Slot guy in what becomes a run first offense, doesn't live up to the legend he already is on these boards.

Charles - Takes over as starting TE when Gresham leaves via Free Agency. Is better in every way.

Marvin Jones - Becomes solid WR contributing 700-900 yrds a year on the other side of AJ.

Burfict - Become a solid thumper in the middle but pass coverage issues keeps him from being a Pro Bowler.

Lamur- Solid special teamer and backup LBer. If Skuta can stick around that long so can Lamur.

The Rest - Special teamers and roster fodder.

People are writing off Dre Kirkpatrick pretty easily. Give him a season or two before we say he's gonna just be a bust or relegated to nickle corner only.

Jones- If he improves from year to year (Which I think he will) he could be our future starting #2 WR. For now I think he is our #4 WR.

The rest i'm not sure. Herron may become the next Cedric Peerman and be a good special teams player for us the next few years.

All in all a very very good draft class so far, hope i'm pretty accurate

Not sure about Dre yet. He showed a lot of cushion in the Chiefs game & gave up 2 first downs. He needs to play press....

Zeitler will be good & should be re-signed when his contract expires.

Still will be average/above average

Thompson should be lined up on certain downs next to Geno, especially against the run. Thompson will make plays and will be a solid player.

Sanu is a good possession Receiver & i liked what i saw when he played. So as of right now i think Sanu will be our #2 guy with Marvin Jones in the slot unless Keenan Allen fell to us in the 1st..

Charles has shown he can catch. He will be average/above average.


Wasn't a huge fan of Prater at Iowa. He won't be that good imo.


Marvin Jones will be a good WR. He runs good routes & will most likely play the slot & some at the #2 spot.

IIoka will be average.

Herron will be average

Burfict will be a stud & could possibly make the pro bowl in the near future. As long as he keeps up what he's doing he will be our future MLB for many years.

Lamur will be avergae

Then he has surgery on his knee... so three knee injuries including at least 1 surgery, a thigh injury, and a 3+ week concussion. All in the rookie year of a lightweight CB who didn't know how to backpedal when he got drafted... and it's not like he was injury free in college either. I know he at least had shoulder surgery.

Dre- Bust. Didn't like the pick because he's not fast, not a ball hawk, too skinny and was surrounded by talent at Alabama. How long did he have to cover with that pass rush? Then finding out he never backpedaled and had a preexisting health problem just made me hate the pick more.

Zeitler- Not sure how many pro bowls he will make, but I see him being a steady pro for years. Great pick.

Still- I think he'll wind up being an okay rotational player. Might take over for Peko after awhile.

Thompson- Rotational guy. I predict he'll be gone in 2-3 years.

Sanu- I like him as a 4th or 5th WR. Maybe give him a shot in the slot. I don't see him becoming a Hines, TJ or Boldin type of player. Good depth, little more.

Charles- I think he's got talent. Whether or not we actually use a 2nd TE consistently is another story.

Prater, Jones, Illoka, Herron, Lamur- Roster filler.

Burfict- He won't be Ray Lewis, but I think he'll be the best MLB of Marv's tenure (not counting Odell). He may be the best MLB in Bengals history. Not sure that's saying all that much though.

Sanu could be really good but it would be hard pressed to expect pro bowl out of him being a #2/slot guy. Pro Bowl is stocked full of #1 type guys. But if we did have two wr's in the pro bowl that would be awesome and it would mean Andy was lighting it up and would be there too.

Dre- will get healthy and be a solid CB for years.
Ghee- If he stays healthy will push for the #2 CB spot. He was our best CB till injuried, but he was our best because Hall was coming off injuries.

Zeitler will become an All Pro OG. He will outshine DeCastro his entire career.

Still- become little Geno, and means O lines never get a rest. He has the same kind of penatration as Geno.

Sanu- is the best possession Wr we have had since TJ, but stays in the slot. He doesn't quite have the speed to take the #2 spot.

Thompson- is solid but not great. He will replace Peko, after Pekos contract is up and he wants mnore money. The biggest difference will be less hair.

Charles- will be a solid TE, and can push Gresham just enough to get him to preform. I think Charles takes Gresham's place when he leaves. Receiving yards go up at TE, because of less drops, but not YPC. He will be a solid TE who some how keeps his starting job for years.

Prater- has St written all over his short career. He will go in a few years.

Marvin- He is too fast and too quick to be pushed down the depth chart by anyone on the Bengals not named Green. He should push 1000 yards this year, and top it the year after. I doubt he will be an All-Pro, because two WR from the same team is rare.

Iloka- is another ST guy. He will be solid, but will be behind the S we draft this year.

Herron- He has improved and will continue to improve as a ST player. He will be a solid backup, but will be 3rd on the depth chart, because of this years draft.

Burfict- He was solid to very good at WLB, but will move into a class of his own at MLB. You are looking at the best MLB in the AFCN, and that means in the NFL over the next 10 years.

Robinson- it depends if we get one of the top two OC in this draft. If we do then Robinson becomes the backup C, and OG. If we do not, he will add the strength and become the starting OC for 5+ years, and be better than Cook.

Lamar- will fight for a starting job a LB, He may make it, or he might be pushed down the depth chart if we find another top notch LB in this draft. Unless he improves his body, and works hard he will become a ST guy with another average career.

Moch- will become another Gilberry if he can stay healthy. If he can not stay healthy then he will be cut by the end of next year.

I added two guys, because we have not gotten to see them play much, and it seems they are almost rookies.
