It's all about the winning. In 4 less years, they won only 3 less games in the regular season, he never experienced a losing season, and he got a Super Bowl ring to top it off. I guarantee you 9/10 players who spend 7 years at 37-75 on one team, and then 3 years at 34-14 (plus super bowl ring) on another... will talk about how much they love that second team.

Ed Reed will also be available.
Ed Reed will probably retire in the offseason. I read somewhere on the net that he wanted to retire before 2012 season.

Dalton is not the problem. Sometimes I think the only reason people gripe about him is because they have nothing better to do or simply like to read the word of their own writing, similar to when people complaining just to hear the sound of their own voice.

Anquan Boldin - WR - Ravens

FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reports the Ravens want Anquan Boldin to take a pay cut, or he will be released before Tuesday’s start of the free-agent period.
Boldin is owed a $6 million base salary, and the Ravens have seemingly deemed that too costly for a possession receiver. ILB Dannell Ellerbe is believed to be the Ravens' top priority in the wake of Joe Flacco's contract extension, and a pay cut for Boldin would free up even more cap space. Boldin quipped after the Ravens' Super Bowl win that he'd retire if the Ravens cut him. We're inclined to think that he might be reconsidering that stance.

looks like it may happen and we sure could use him while the younger receivers develop

That would a good signing because you can sign him for a couple years and it would not impact AJ's huge contact and it would give us a clear #2 this year. If Sanu, Jones or some other player start playing good in the next 2 years, Boldin then is a role player.

http://www.cincyjungle.com/2013/3/9/...vens-ultimatum

Q rejects the ravens ultimatum for restructuring his contract.

Dear Italian baby Jesus,

With you your slick black hair and satin daipers, please let the bengals sign Q to a contract for two years. He is perfect to mentor Sanu and fill in as a stop gap player maker with YAC ozing out his ears. This makes sense, but it won't ever happen.

Count me in. He is the type of vet WR that I think would really benefit our extremely young WR corps. He would be in a great position to benefit from the extra coverage that is always rolled towards AJ, seems humble enough to help mentor the younger guys and we he's old enough that he's not going to be looking for a long term contract.

A vet WR to pair with your young guys has been high on my wish list for FA this year but the options all had their issues be it wanting an elite contract, not having proved themselves, maturity issues and a long list of journeymen WRs that may not even win a roster spot.

He'd be a perfect signing. Not expensive, healthy, SB experience, good team player, tough, makes great catches and get YAC.

Also, he's not too old, but just old enough to where we can give Sanu a shot to replace him in a couple years.

Boldin will make his $ , he will demand a pretty good chunk of change. Dont get me wrong I like Boldin as much as the next guy , but honestly he only has another good 2 years left in his tank. Stick with the youth movement, we need speed and a physical receiver hints Danario Alexander

Boldin isn't a burner, so I think his age is less of a factor. He's a big, physical receiver that can go up in traffic and win the ball.

I'm not anti Dalton at all, but in all honesty, with the way Dalton throws the deep ball, Boldin would be more valuable to us than a guy like Mike Wallace.

There's no doubt he'd make this team better, so I'm all for it.
Agree 100%

I would take Boldin over Wallace any day.

Boldin - 65 catches 921 yards 4tds 14.2 a grab

Alexander - 10 games played 37 catches 658 yards 7 TDS 17.8

The guy will be a #1 before to long , we can prob. get him cheaper than Boldin 6'5 and 210 the dude is a huge target for Andy and has some good hands. I like Boldin but stick with youth he is only 24 with a BIG upside. Why worry about 2 years when we can be set for 4 or 5 ?

The Ravens apparently will be forced to release him due to cap issues and Flacco's looming mega-contract.

I think he could fill in here for a couple seasons as our #2. I know most will bring up his age, but I think he's got at least a couple years left.
Sanu is the younger version of Boldin only faster. Maybe we should try him?

Sign Bolden to a 3 year deal, draft Tavarres King (who is frequently compared to Bolden for his release and ability to beat press coverage)

WR 1: Green, Jones
WR 2: Bolden, King
Slot: Sanu, Hawkins.

Best damn WR core in NFL.

All of that happened on three consecutive possession, a 10-minute fusillade of fail that turned a one-possession game into a blowout loss...

I like Sanu and all... but are you serious?

Maybe he will be... but are you serious?

I'd seriously have to see him do what Boldin did against the 49ers very good defense to even make a statement like that.

Sanu has talent but "c'mon man!!"

Here is the thing we know what we are getting in Boldin, but still dint know what exactly we have in Sanu. It's all about competition if Sanu beats out Boldin then we are well on our way and could have Boldin V2

Watch and learn naysayers. Almost all of these catches were contested and clutch plays.

You think this kind of play couldn't help us after watching... I'd say either have your eyes or your head checked.

...and that is exactly why we should try to sign him. experience, toughness, locker room presence, SB/winning experience, mentor, are only a few reasons why he would be a great addition.
