2a) Eddie Lacey RB Bama - If he is here we take him


2b) Da'rick Rogers WR Tennessee Tech - Idk if he will be here after the combine but his talent is undeniable. Worth the risk.


3) Chase Thomas LB Stanford - May not be exactly what we need position wise but a high character guy who is a safe pick to be a productive NFL player.


4) Cornellius Carradine DE FSU


5) Michael Williams TE Bama - Strong blocker, will give us one of the strongest TE corps in the league between gresham, charles, and williams


6a) Tyrann Mathieu DB LSU - Can never have too many playmakers... Even is he is just a special team impact player its worth the risk at this point


6b) Terry Hawthorne CB Illinois - Depth

It takes someone with a need to grab him. I see maybe Miami, Dallas, or St Louis grabbing him, but not necessarily.

He was a solid 2nd rounder in December. It's not impossible.

Around this time last year, people were saying Dre Kirkpatrick would be long gone by 17.

You can't be sure of a player's stock until the draft. There have been plenty of players hyped by the McShays and Kipers but then fall way down draft boards for inexplicable reasons.

What we hear and what happens often are not the same thing.

Besides, mock drafts at this stage of the off season are barely anything more than a positional wants list.

that list of prospects and their draft grades are going to change so drastically over the next 2 and a half months that some drafts will be unrecognizable to those being mocked right now.

the positional evaluation is the more important part of these mock drafts.

And yes, Safety is a huge need right now.
