Huge news. First time in nearly 600 years. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a historic event. I don't think we are getting the full story, but with nearly 2000 years of experience in keeping secrets, I'm not sure we will ever find out.

We might have found out what he did had he not resigned.. but im guessing this was forced by the church. Like a president resigning before being impeached.

Just weird, really. I mean, JP2 was pretty much a walking corpse at the end of it. To say you are resigning for health reasons after that, kind of interesting.

This pope is supposedly the next to the last according to that prophecy. Although there is a ton of controversy regarding this whole prophecy thing. Supposedly this list came out after centuries of popes and the future predicted pope predictions were extremely vague. Also the guy would have to end the list somewhere right?
