Money can't buy wins per se but it can buy enough talent to produce wins. That's the secret in any professional sport and if you don't believe me, ask Robert Kraft of the Patriots or look at the late George Steinbrenner of the Yankees.

I agree with that. 99% of these guys going into free agency are looking to make MAJOR bank now that they are FA. History proves someone will give it to them.

Eventually with a team like the Pats your reputation is good enough that they just come to you and you don't have to pay as much. Teams like us still pay and pay a lot. Unproven and for a long time the wasteland of an NFL career. It's getting a hell of a lot better, but still a lot to prove.

I'm hoping potential players we would like to pick up also see how much guys like Roddy White, Julio Jones and even Turner / Rodgers feed off of that system. Both receivers had great stats this year. We have the base to be extremely successful with a quality receiver opposite A.J. Our roster may be enough to curb a contract that say the Cardinals would have to dish out, but it's still not going to be Pats cheap.

I want it after watching how good the Falcons have been on offense with dual threat receiver. Gresham isn't as good as Tony but still. I think our offense would look better than theirs. Our #3,4,5 WRs and our run game are better.

I'm still ****** we didn't try harder for Wayne last year. Would have been the perfect compliment to A.J. and he still had plenty left. Signed back with Colts for a pretty low number. He probably wouldn't even have had to move!

Jennings would bring a wealth of experience to our offense as well that would go a long way come playoff time.

I think Dalton just needs another set of reliable hands that will work as his security blanket much like Houshmanzadeh was for Palmer years ago. Imo Sanu looked like he was that guy until his injury. Too bad he didn't stay in the line up long enough for us to get a clearer picture of his role in our offense.

Bottom line though is Jennings is as proven as a wideout could be and we desperately need a solid threat opposite of Green and Jennings track record is more then solid so I've got my fingers crossed.

Too much smoke for there to not be any fire to Miami being the best fit. Philbin did well, and they'll let him use a large chunk of their cash to land him. Make no mistake though, if they land a better receiver and he's still out there then of coarse Cincy should make a move.

Hes a perfect route runner would compliment AJ real well. Sanu would destroy number 3 corners out of the slot. An established veteran with a championship would help the team overall. Only negative thing Ive heard bad about him is his sister is a bit of a diva.

Gregg Jennings would be my top choice of FA receivers to bring to our team.However, I just do not see it happening.I do believe our team is not interested in ANY receivers that are available.I see them going after someone they like from the college ranks and it will be a late round pick.Our top needs are upgrading both lines,a top safety,the best running back out there, and for sure another linebacker and corner.The O-line needs some depth and another lineman to battle for a starting postion.I am not convinced the so-called centers we have are top shelve.I would love to see us go after one from the college ranks and allow them to compete for the job.

They all want big money. I've given up on a vet #2 (a proven one). They all are way out of our price range. With them demanding 10+ yearly. For once I side with the Front Office. Not worth it.

The guy that reported that Jennings wants 14 million per also said "tough to see that happening".

That would make him the 3rd highest paid WR in the league.

IMO, he'll be lucky to get a little more than half that (8 million per).

Very true. Decent wr for cheap and rodgers as your QB makes them good wr for cheap. But don't you think that if GB could sign him for half or even a quarter of what he's asking, they would? Of course they would since the beginning of the season Rodgers, Jennings and GB were vocal about the possibility of him not coming back bc of the money he will command. If he wouldn't have been hurt he prolly would be getting more. Not sure if he's worth the money he wants due to the factors in GB- QB, crappy run game, pass heavy O and surrounding wr plus he's been getting dinged up. That said I think he's a heck of a wr just maybe not at that price given idk he looks like in a different system and an all pro throwing him the ball.

Would have no problem with the team signing a vet as a solidifying force at WR. I would have a problem with them signing one for the reported amounts some of these guys are asking for like Jennings and Wallace.

He's a great player, but I do think Sanu and Jones are going to be just fine with time. If we are going to make a huge investment, sign MJ and Andre and then let's look around at FAs

I'd love to see Jennings in a Bengals uniform next season. Not because I think he's the best, but because he'd help the Bengals' young receivers learn what it takes to win. This team is "almost" good enough, "almost" there, but keeps missing.

Bringing in a couple of FA vets who have high work ethics and have won championships will help this team. Since the Bengals have "no" history of winning under the current ownership it will help by bringing in some players who know what it takes. Certainly the front office doesn't have clue, but players and coaches can overcome that and have been doing better the past few years.
