With free agency I feel like we will address one area of concern with a top tier FA.
I personally believe it will be a safety with guys like Jarious Byrd, William Moore, gholdson. Along with our own, smith, MJ, pacman, Gilberry, Hawkins, peerman Along with a few other pieces for depth, maybe OT and CB, I don't see us doing much more. I'm not doing any trade back because you can't really predict that happening. 1. Alec ogletree LB Georgia- We need to shore up our LB corps, this was the weakest part of the D last year other than burfict we might as well have played with 9 guys and been better off. 2a. Gio Bernard RB UNC- He is really starting to become my favorite player we could get in the draft and I don't want to take a chance waiting on him at 2b. Need to keep adding weapons for dalton. 2b. Da'rick Rogers WR- keep adding weapons. Could be a very good number 2 and complete out WR corps. 3. Jamie Collins OLB southern Missouri- great covering skills and will compete with Howard at SAM. 4. Le'veon Bell RB Michigan State- really good back, can make an impact this year and take over the law firms position next year. 5a. Michael Williams TE Bama- great run blocking TE with decirving speed and catching abilities. 5b comp. Khaled Holmes OC USC- not sure if his stock will drop this mug but if it does it's a no brainer pick, hoping that he will get 100% and play at the level he can. 6a. Michael Buchanan DE- really tall athletic guy. Could turn out to be a good player after a few years. 6b. Tyrain mathiue - Worth our last pick and could be electric in the KR/PR. Depth chart Qb- Andy Dalton, Brice Gradkowski RB- BJGE, Bernard, Bell, peerman FB- Presley WR1- Green, Jones OT- Whitworth, FA OG- Boling, Wharton OC- Robinson, Cook OG- Zeitler, Wharton OT- Smith, Collins WR3- Sanu, Hawkins WR2- Rodgers, Whalen Defense- CB- Hall, pacman, prater RDE- Johnson, Gilberry DT- Atkins, Still NT- Peko, Thompson LDE- Dunlap, Buchanan SAM- Howard, Collins CB-Kirkpatrick, Newman, Mathiue MIKE- Burfict, Skuta WILL- Ogletree, Maybin, Joiner FS- Nelson, Illoka SS- Byrd/Moore, Mays, Miles I feel like this could get us over the playoff win hump. I tried to be realistic with my picks and fill holes with impact players, not projects/risks/ trouble players. Adding talent and good leaders will take this franchise a long way. What do you think? Hate drafting a WR early, as the Bengals are younger there already, and first year WR's routinely contribute little year one. Rather see a first year safety and address WR in free agency.
I do like drafting 2 solid coverage LB's, turning a weakness into a strength and getting ahead of the 2 receiving TE trend out there.

I wouldn't mind this draft, except selecting a RB in the 4th...if you're going Bernard in 2nd, why look for a Green-Ellis replacement with your 4th rounder this year?
now, if I was stuck on taking another RB two rounds after Bernard, it would have to be Lattimore |

im cool with taking 2 running back and i like both idea of bernard and bell or bernard and lattimore prefer bernard/bell more so. doing this hopfully kicks bjge washed up self out. IMO replacing BJGE is a must. the guy *****, he honesty hurt as at the position. BJGE couldnt outrun Lt. DAN. Couldnt Dodge a tackle from Hellen Keller nor run over Pee Wee Herman. Add his fumble issues into the mix and were talking about a ball player...SYKE. Gimme bell and bernard any day of the week and let the law firm go home. Rather have Christine Michael with that gio pick to go with bell but i still dig it. Last edited by RIPChrisHenry; 02-11-2013 at 07:17 PM. |

Outside of the 2 week snafu, BJGE didn't fumble again the remainder of the year (to the best of my knowledge). In addition, the Bengals could add 2 RBs to complement BJGE: Bernard/BJGE/Barner/Peerman |
