just look for info.
Which one would you rather have? What do you see as the strengths and weaknesses of the two? Last edited by Murphy; 02-12-2013 at 02:53 PM. Reason: stupidity |

Minter:
-limited to MIKE in a 4-3 -not as athletic as you would hope (but better than Te'o) -solid tackler and reads holes well -team leader and is above average blitzer Ogletree: -can play any LB position preferably WILL -above average in coverage and extremely athletic -always around the ball but makes dumb plays from time to time -needs to improve getting off blocks If we move Burfict to MIKE, which is expected, I would definitely rather get Ogletree. If we keep Burfict at OLB, I would definitely consider Minter with a trade down possibly. BTW, who's t?

I think Ogletree has a higher ceiling. If I had to pick between the two he is who I would go with.
Would rather not pick either in the first. I'm hoping our LB corps isn't dependent on a rookie coming in to save them. I didn't like this when I read it though. "NFL teams will need to keep things simple for Georgia LB Alec Ogletree, according to one anonymous scout." http://www.rotoworld.com/player/cfb/.../alec-ogletree Even though Zimmer seems to keep it pretty simple. That still worries me. |

Elbert "Ickey" Woods, the Bengals were fools to cut you in '91. Your 1,525 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns will not be forgotten. So, Coach Dave Shula, screw you and your crappy steakhouse! |

Re: Minter vs Ogletree
I am not a huge fan of either selection and if selecting a LB I would much rather have Arthur Brown JR. or Gerald Hodges.

If we did not have Burfict I would prefer Minter. But I don't see us taking a true MLB early.
Ogletree has great upside, but I'm not sure he's a SLB (which I think is where the need is) or that he's ready to start and play well now. If there isn't a player of need and value at 21 (e.g. Vaccaro), I would not mind if they took Ogletree to groom behind Howard for a year, but if they did I think I'd still want a SLB somewhere.

I agree with about everyone else on this one. Ogletree would fit our need for an OLB while Minter is an ILB and Burfict is destined to move to that spot this offseason. So for this team it is definately Ogletree but that doesn't mean that Minter isn't going to be a really good player though.

They both will be taken in the first.
We need to address other position before we take an LB |

I think ogletree is what the bengals will go after if he is still there. We always take physical freaks especially on defense, and ogletree is definately that.

I like both of the players....
Ogletree would be better if Vontaze is moved Minter is the guy if Vontaze stays on the outside. I think I'm leaning more towards Minter...Ogletree may have a higher ceiling, but I think he's a project...he's going to need work. |

as athletic as ogletree is, i just think minter is a backer who just seems like he's going to be solid from the start, i wouldn't mind either one of them but i think it would be worth a shot to trade down and grab minter later in the first and an extra pick, i also wouldn't mind seeing them draft another good lb as well, we're very thin there
