Based on need

MLB Bill Bergey

Safety Tommy Casanova.

As much as I loved Fulcher back in the day, I don't see him playing safety in today's NFL. He would be moved to LB.

I really love how you completely thre the context of my post out, AND THEN PUT WORDS IN MY MOUTH.

Where did I compare?

If you have the best pass blocker CURRENTLY in the league, why the hell would you put anybody in his place, whether he IS the best lineman in history or not?

Why not shore up a spot that NEEDS it.

Baffling.

Easy choice for me Ken Anderson.

IMO quarterback is the most important player on the field. He had it all, a great leader, arm, competitiveness.

But wouldn't he have the same problems as Dalton, on this team?

It may look like our biggest strength all season but that playoff game proved that we only have 1 beast out of the 4 lineman. Atkins doubled teamed and no one else stepped up. Krumie and Atkins.....WOW

Tough choice between Brooks and Dillon. Dillon the powerhouse plays like AP. Brooks plays like Rice.

Adding the original Chad Johnson on the otherside of A.J. would also help out the offense.

Another tough choice in QB's because all of them in their prime are pretty much upgrades at the moment.

But now i'm going out on a limb here. My original choice would've been a RB but now as I'm typing this...I feel like going (don't shoot me) Chad Johnson. After seeing Flacco win the SB with 2 playmaking WR's...it's pretty obvious. The passing game would open up the running lanes. The O-line is ok to let this happen. Also, Chad Johnson was the man. Ochocinco was a B##CH. FACT.

Interesting Thread.

He'd be a huge upgrade. What problems are you referring to? An elite pro bowl receiver? A pro bowl Tight End? An above average line? Dalton has more around him than most QBs. Yeah, we could us a better 2 but all in all, any QB walking into this situation would have a decent amount to work with.

How about a pocket to throw from instead of running for his life.

The line was above average in pass protection. As much as everone wants to blame anyone and everyone not named Dalton, it doesn't change the fact that there's a good amount of QBs that would have killed to have the line Dalton had. Ask the Rapist. Jay Cutler. The Arizona QBs. Tony Romo. etc. etc. etc.

I vote Other--Isaac Curtis. With him across from AJ, forget it.

Hard not to say Anthony. Dillon would be awesome and so would Brooks. Even though he was an utter doosh, Carl Pickens would have a profound effect on our offense. He was really good. Any of the QB's would be great.

All in all though, for me it's Ike. He was pure poetry.

BTW, no disrespect intended but if I had a time machine, I'd see a lot of times and places before the Bengals would ever enter my mind.

I really have try much harder in ignoring you...

I really like Whit, but best current pass blocker in NFL? he is in top tier, but not better than Clady, Thomas, or Long...

wow! baffling huh? zero cred.

Above average in what ways? He constantly had to roll out to buy time from a crumbling or non-existent pocket.

I get above average in the running game, but not in the ability to set up and maintain a pocket...watch a Patriot or Bronco game to witness above average pass protection.

Wheres the Sean Brewer option????

Anyways since I cant vote him I probably go with Dillon, since I believe he had Hall of Fame talent, and that would be more valuable to the team than Munoz who was the best left tackle of alltime.

After them two it would probably be Cook coming out of college before he got hurt, even over Boomer, Kenny, and Carson.

Kenny Anderson is my favorite all time Bengal.

Isaac Curtis my second favorite and would fill a need.

But Munoz is the common denominator in both Super Bowls. Even though it is not a position of need.

Got to go with best tackle ever in NFL history Anthony Munoz.

But if I really had a time machine ? Would go to the future and get a history of sports book like in Back to the Future and move to Las Vegas..

You are proving my point, all these guys saying how great Dalton is, and saying if they could add one player, it would be a q-back, don't make a good argument for Dalton.

Yep, I couldn't have three so I said Curtis, would have liked it to be Curtis, Dillon, and Bill Bergy.

I said Dillion, with him our Offense would be at least top 10.
