Olympics drop wrestling

Hey at least the US can't claim bias any more like after they dropped Baseball and Softball. The US certainly didn't dominate wrestling.

Sure glad they are dropping this in favor of real sports like underwater paired synchronized basket weaving.

First competition added to the Olympics, that was not a foot race (700 BC).
Not to mention it was chronicled THOUSANDS of years prior.
But yea, no longer worthy of Olympic competition.
Wushu, competitive rock climbing, rollerblading, badminton, table tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, synch swimming, all represent Olympic competition better.

For one who follows the sport. (HS in Ohio, college level nationally and Ohio).
And has had very positive results, from participating, and watching my sons participate in the sport. Just a very disappointing decision.
It was an early morning "kick in the gut".

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw it!! Really pi**es me off!!! Like you said, one of the original Olympic events and they take it out? That's utter B.S.!!!! It's bad enough that we hardly ever get to watch wrestling on TV as it is, now they take away the one time every four years that we can watch it on national TV.

Looks like I'm boycotting the Olympics until they bring it back.

of all countries I think the Iranians are the most ****** at this (not that anyone cares for them) but most of their medals come from Wrestling
