So far...it's a fun game. The Xenos are kinda lame but it's because I haven't gotten used to them yet. Once I adjust I'm sure it will be fun. Haven't played much of the story. Did mostly Multiplayer.

I played the first mission of campaign. It's ok, but just ok. The graphics look like they belong on a PS2. But multiplayer is pretty solid.

Well I love this game....

The campaign gets better and better as you go..

Havent tried multiplayer yet. The time i spent playing was spend working my way throw this lovely and instense campaign.



Dont judge a game by its first level.



The graphics are fine. The marines are a little ruff but everything else looks great. And there is plenty of acid damage. (not to the structure in real time but to the player)


There are some things i dont like but understand.
-> When it warps you to the group.... This happens in campaign and as a guy that hunts collectables its annoying as hell when someone is running ahead.. (but i understand it as doors look behind you as you progress.. Get warped or stuck....)
-> There was one room where the xenos all came in the same way.. I believe this was caused by lack of other entrys into the room... So far that was the worst AI moment ive seen.


for the fans of the series its a great amount of fun. The campaign so far (to where ive gotten) Allows you to explore The Ship from ALIENS... Hadleys hope. And i believe im getting close to the derelic space craft...

For me personally I never buy into hype. I wait for a game and if I think it looks cool I'll get it and if I like it good. If not then damn. IGN rated MW3 a 9. MW3 was terrible.

What Hype??? the hype i created? I havent seen much in the way of Hype or advertisement other than the fact the game exist after 5 years of waiting...

Its another game that went thru some developement hell.

but with GearBox now having rights to use the IP they said it will be one of their main 4 IPs moving forward.


What have you experienced in the game to make you feel it is just okay...

Provide examples and comparisons if you want.

The single player campaign is incredibly boring...aside from the stealth mission which was actually quite intense, but that is as far as I got in single player. Also the audio is bland, and the glitches in movement and visuals get quite annoying.

The multiplayer is ok, it can be fun at times, but the small lobby sizes don't seem to fit well with most of the maps. Plus the execution kills of the alien don't seem as epic because of the third person view. The alien controls are also quite weird, maybe I just have to get used to them more, but the wall climbing feels so unnatural and slow that it is almost useless.

Overall it is a decent game (very disappointing but still decent). If it comes down to spending my time finishing dead space 3, playing the (finally) released DLCs for skyrim, or playing this game...it's gonna be dead space or skyrim 9 out of 10 times. I will still occasionally play this game.

the AvP Alien movement was great... I would have loved if they left that intact.. But i guess to many people *****ed so the changed it and moved it to 3rd person...

And that is what they get.

I dont know which game type you were playing but the are patching something (escape mode i think)

also your alien is probly level 1 or still a low level im guessing as it levels the addons you can do will make him faster and more deadly. just like the marines weapons.

Stealth mission? The Raven i presume. There were plenty of nice action moments before that. But i was playing on normal so they werent so bad... If the campaign bores you i suggest Ultimate badass mode where there is no hud.

The patch notes i read said some of the campaign glitches... Where occansionally the NPC opening a door glitches. etc.

and one of the multiplayer modes. The details i got were kinda vague.. And i dont know if its been released yet as i didnt get an update on 360 when playing last night.

Yeah it was we had great fun sending someone to scout then watching him blow up...


Once someone trained everyone of those boilers right back to the group.. We all died quickly.

Yeah at the very least i dont know what tonight has in store but generally im busy till late and its valentines day lol

(couldnt get that tablet wife failed to notice it doesnt come out till next tuesday)

but this weekend if i can avoid sticking gears 3 in the xbox will be all about aliens. lol... Need to finish the campaign first but im getting close. And Want to get a ultimate badass game going sometime. (then there will be reason to fear...)

I'm down to do the Ultimate Badass one with you. Just let me know. If it says I'm offline..invite me and I'll come in. I think the hardest part about that difficulty is going to be the Yutani footmen...those bastards are hard on Soldier. lol

Yeah also if there are more aliens a couple quick swipes and you'll be down.... First things first,... Upgrade all the weapons then ultimate badass time lol
