Joeckel
Vaccaro A. Brown If Joeckel fell, that would be too amazing to pass up and our OL need help, period. We need a S and I'm liking Vaccaro. And, of course we all know we need a good LB. |

Any of these guys fall then taking BPA would outweigh need, though I think you can still get a little both if all in essence they were all available at 21, my list would be:
1) Dee Milliner, CB Alabama - Hall, Milliner, and Kirkpatrick, we would be nasty and set at CB for the next 5 years easy. 2) Chance Warmack G Alabama - Seriously, I would not even be mad if Cook started day 1, heck my 2 year old might be able to start on a line of Whitworth, Warmack, Zeitler, and Smith. 3) So tempted to say Star here, but I would have to go with Joeckel, too good to pass up, depth on Oline, as well as possible cap considerations as Whitworth and Smith get more expensive.

1. Chance Warmack - If we take an offensive lineman early I would want it to be this guy. A dominant blocker and our Guards would be set for the next 10 years with him and Zeitler. Boling could fight for the Center position and if he didn't win it he could be a solid backup all along the interior line.
2. Jarvis Jones - I understand people that worry about his back but assuming everything checks out with the medical staff and the fact he has had two dominant seasons in a row at Georgia I would take the risk at #21. I know the staff loved Von Miller a couple of years ago and Jones has a lot of the same abilities as him. 3. Kenny Vaccaro - This guy is perfect for our team needs if he is available with our first pick. He is a solid hitter and I love his coverage ability. We sorely lack in having a guy that can cover the good pass catching Tight Ends that keep entering the league year after year. A combination of him and Nelson should drastically improve the back end of this secondary.

He was given time at Center last year and if he wasn't the starter I could see him given a chance to compete with those guys again. Doesn't mean he would win the job and as I mentioned if he didn't he could still be depth on the interior line spots. Either way it is probably a moot point since Boling is likely to be our starting LG because I don't see Warmack falling.

Boling was the backup at Center until Wharton was injured in the preseason game. He was given snaps in practice with the second team and would have likely played the position when Cook was injured had it not been for Wharton being out as well.

It should be Warmack but with this francise, they tend to go skill with round 1 picks.
My Guess: 1-Patterson 2-Vacarro 3-Warmack I would take Warmack and send Cook packing...

Jarvis Jones
Bjoern Werner Dee Milliner Maybe we'll learn more about Jones' spinal issues before the draft, but I'm skeptical. Unless he has some kind of degenerative condition, then I'd roll with him without thinking twice. I remember back 2010 when we snagged Gresham. He and Gronkowski were the top 2 TEs and everyone was worried about a back problem that Gronk had dealt with thoughout his college career. He missed the entire 2009 season and it was speculated that he had the suffered from the same spinal injury that ended Michael Irvin's career. In retrospect, it looks like his back was good enough for him to be the best tight end in the game, not to mention one of the best overall weapons period. I'm not saying injuries should be overlooked. I'm just apprehensive about writing a guy off when he obviously has a ton of talent. Last edited by Samhain; 02-16-2013 at 06:04 AM. |

Re: If any of these guys fell to 21
I think many on these boards, myself included, want to see Burfict move to MLB for this team. With that has anyone considered Manti at SLB? When I watch him I feel he screams SLB. He has good if not very good coverage skills and is a big strong kid. He has the speed to rush from the outside and the strength to defeat TEs trying to block him.
Just my opinion but I think it would be a great fit.
