I was listening to one of the national shows this morning -- Cowherd or Patrick, can't recall. He said that the reason for risers/fallers is that this is the point where coaches get involved. Up until this point it has been mostly scouts. The coaches will fall into or out of love with a player.
Of course, this never happens with the Bengals, since our coaches are also our scouts. |

You are the biggest tool on here. Know one can know for sure how a player turns out. They can predict based on different areas of a players game. Why do you think there are so many busts from the NFL draft. You act like just because he's a football nalyst he is 100% accurate on everything. GEEZ get a clue!

Who says Newton isn't a bust? He hasn't done much since his rookie year which was all "me first".

Riser: Reid Fragel T/TE Ohio St. He played TE his entire life until switching to T for the benefit of the team. He will show Jason Smith type quickeness and agility, and rise from being 7th-UDFA to maybe the 4th round.
Faller: Easily Manti T'eo he looks like such a dufus after the whole imaginary gf incident that not only is his public opinion in the toilet, but his self confidence now won't allow him to put on a good show at the combine. Mid to late 2nd rounder.

Riser...Tennessee QB Tyler Bray. He throws the ball as good or better than any QB in the country....against air. The guy has such an incredible arm that scouts will forget about all the problems in his head.
I am also interested in how fast Clemson's RB Andre Ellington runs the forty. He looks really fast in games, but is not considered a first round pick. If he really smokes the forty he could rise, but oif he doesn't run well he could also drop. Also interested in SMU DE Magnus Hunt. Some people project him to have one of the best combine workouts ever. |

Riser
SS Johnathan Cyprien. He'll follow up a good Seniorbowl with a good combine. DT Datone Jones. May be a first rounder when all said and done WR Marquis Goodson. He should compete for the best 40, And when it comes to the combine thats the biggie, Faller DE Margus Hunt. He'll be exposed in a lot of drills. DE Damotre Moore. Will look more average than his hype would suggest. Last edited by jj22; 02-21-2013 at 03:58 PM. |
