exactly, it was nice to hear Eisen ask, "why would you want to replace Andy Dalton?"

He also mentioned Steelers, and STL. Not sure why Rich zero'd in on the Bengals. Well, we know why, but I didn't think it was anything....

Never hurts to meet with him. A few years done the road, one can't predict.

If he or Barkley are there at 21, take a trade and move back. Their 2 this year and a 1 or 2 next year.

It's obvious why he met with him it's to give the allusion we might take him at 21 it opens up trade possibilities

Oh, look.....it's OSUfan completely ignoring the OP, and finding a post to babble some nonsense about. Shocking.
Really, there's no reason to NOT check him out. Keep the options open. Just because they met with him doesn't mean it's to replace Dalton, but if the right situation comes up, why completely ignore the option?

Probably asking him if he would be open to playing WRer.
No, obviously as earlier poster pointed out it opens up a possible trade door.

Geno Smith is probably the only QB in this class that (potentially) has a higher ceiling than Dalton.
So...I have no problem with this. Still, all you Dalton doubters shouldn't get your hopes up. Geno will be long gone by #21.

Dalton has a high floor and a low ceiling (below average arm, limited mobility). I'm not by any means saying we should go after a QB, I'm just saying Dalton does not have a "high ceiling".

its just a pre-draft visit. The Ravens visited with half the available prospects in the NFL. Doesn't mean a thing. It's like saying Marvin and Mike Brown sat down and had dinner with Sylvia's mother. nice to know, but of little importance come April.

Indeed. weak draft this year anyway, and we don't have very many holes (if we're smart in free=agency we're great...but then again we are talking about Mikey, Marvin, and the FO), so why not go Belichick?

Bray, Wilson, Smith, Glennon etc... That doesn't mean that they have the same mental capacity or the intangibles to succeed in the NFL. |

Dalton has a good head on his shoulders. You can't underestimate that. And it's not like he's a bum physically. He threw 27 td's last year and has potential to do better than that. While he will never throw a 95 mph fastball, it would be silly to act as if he's definitely peaked. It's not all about arm strength.

Totally. Let's go back and count how many passes were dropped this past season. The guy is doing his job.
