Now that you've had a chance to play it, what are your thoughts?

I personally think its an amazing game. I've played ro about 15 hours so far and haven't even scratched the surface on what is possible with this game. You can watch the virtua; tv for hours and not see the same thing. its like a real living breathing city.

I hate the combat, the driving I finally got use to though. The online is broken meaning I can't even get on and when I can all I hear is music and no gun shots nothing plus knowing where your enemy is kind of takes the whole appeal out of it.

It's a good game, I just found myself to be bored after a while. Don't get me wrong it's epic and all but I found myself wanting to play some of my other games. The experience is to personal, I'm warming up to it though. I only played like 2 hours or so and it says I have like 15% of the game already finished.

It's an 8.5 out of 10.

I know Saints Row was a GTA knock off but it did everything that was wrong with GTA right and I got spoiled. I enjoyed that game much more.

15 hours!?! Have you even slept yet?

I played it for about 4 hours and it took me a while to get used to the controls, but I'm happy with it. The improved physics is especially nice. I haven't tried the online mode yet, but I'll probably do that tonight.

I actually think I exaggerated a bit with the 15 hours lol I would say more along the lines of 10-12 hours. I got it midnight on the 29 and played it late into that nght and didn't have to work the next day so I played it all day yesterday.

I'm not gonna play online for awhile. I imagine they are having problems with the servers because of all the players so i'm just gonna wait for awhile to get online.

I just got it yesterday and played it a couple hours.

I agree with spinksjinx, the combat is pretty garbage. The hand to hand combat physics is a bunch of button pressing. They tell me to hit y and counter and it does nothing. Maybe after you learn some new moves it will get better, but so far not impressive.

The driving is nice and realistic, and the controls are much more fluid than the previous titles.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the cover mechanics. If its as good as GOW like they say then I will love this game.

So far I'd rate it about a 9. But most of its still incomplete.

I'm waiting on the PS3 to get more games before I really worry about buying one. I'm excited to play MGS4 and FF13 but beyond that there is really nothing on there that I can't get on my 360.

If any of you have a psp then a ps3 becomes sooo powerful with remote play.. I love being able to watch movies & music stored on my ps3 while im dontating plasma or something. I havent tried it yet but your suppsoed to be able to play ps1 games through remote play also...it really is amazing what technology is coming to.

i have a ps3 but its not working right now. i am waiting on the box to send it back but it hasnt come yet. i will be sure to add you, but i dont have gta4 and didnt preorder it, so i dont know when i will manage to find one. i do however play call of duty 4 like its going out of style.

Has anyone gotten the chance to play online yet? I did for the first time last night and it was AMAZING. I just played a couple rounds of deathmatch with some friends and I can honestly say its the most fun I've had on a videogame in a really really long time. I almost don't wanna start playing multy because I'm afraid I'll never finish single player.

I'm all about the free roam online in GTA. This guy I was talking to just got the game and we was driving around and he was like I heard you can fly helicopters and I was like yeah I will take you to the airport. He was like cool thanks man, we get to the airport I drive him to the copters and going down the strip I floor it and soon as we get to the helis I slam on my brakes he goes flying out the window and lands on the copter but dies. Hahaha, obscenities ensued. I love this game. I also shot up a bowling alley full of guys driving their motorcycles, they thought I was trying to be friendly I pulled out my rpg and went to work.

I LOVE THIS!!!!

Will do good sir, but as for killing myself nothing is guaranteed.

I had a guy last night pick me up in his helicopter he was doing a tour of Liberty City and asking if we could fly airplanes I said no because they didn't want people doing the whole 9-11 thing. In the helicopter I held a grenade for a few seconds and dropped out above the empire state building and fell to my death and exploded in the air. He was screaming and was like you the reason we can't fly airplanes you crazy m'fer. Calling me a suicide bomber haha it was great. I love this game.

I haven't playe dmuch multiplayer because I've been focused on single player. But what I have played so far has been amazing. This game is amazing.
