I think Bradly Nowell from Sublime is one heck of a singer. The emotion that's in his voice is almost untouchable.I say almost because John Lennon has that locked.Their songs relate to me,{ Lennon's solo career }.

Marvin Gaye. Best ever. Best now? I dunno. I like Plant a lot, but don't think he's got it like he had it back in the day.

I would have put down Dexter from Offspring as one of my worst. Saw them at jammin on Main once and he was awful. Nobody who does that Uh-Huh, Uh-Huh on Pretty Fly for a White guy should be on the list.

Try to sing along with "Self Esteem".If you don't think that dude can sing.I've seen Soundgarden live and Cornell sounded like crap.I didn't give credence to that preformance because of what I know he can do.Besides,I tried to throw in a name relative to today.Yeah,he can sing.

Jennifer Hudson definitely deserves some recognition as a talented singer.

He finally released an album last year. According to the reviews, it was pretty good.

Covering " Cry Me A River"

"Lovin' You" by him also. Incredible voice for such a young person.

Steve Perry from Journey, anyone? Most powerful voice I've ever heard.

Edit: Nvm, he was in fact already mentioned.

Some other great voices:

Tina Turner (I'll admit, she had some great songs)
Bryan Adams ("Summer of '69"- My all-time favorite song).
Meat Loaf (that's right, I said it. I know he's got a bad rap, but that man could sing!)

This dude is sick, he covers a wide range of songs, going from r&b, to rock, to really anything else...I actually think their covers improve the songs.

Linkin Park - Shadow of the Day

Jordin Sparks - No Air

The Verve Pipe - The Freshman

Green Day - Good Riddance

I heard he had some voice troubles not long ago.

Meatloaf still can sing. He's great to see live (plus his daughter is hot!).

I'm not too surprised about Steve Perry, a voice that powerful is going to wear down at some point

Meat Loaf's daughter is gorgeous.
Take a look at Meat, then his daughter, and I gotta wonder how the heck that happened
Meat Loaf was my favorite singer when I was a young kid, I got crap for listening to his records all the time. He put out Bat Out of Hell 3 a little over a year ago, pretty good album, the man still has it. But the general public apparently doesn't agree.
IMO, the guy never got the credit he deserved (my guess is because he's not too easy on the eyes... such a shame).

Meatloaf was huge (no pun intended) when he first came out. I guess he got in trouble with drugs and alchohol and got in a dispute with his label. Reminds me a little of the group Boston's troubles. He hasn't done too bad as an actor, though.

I'm hoping his daughter doesn't look like him in 10 years...

Billy Joel
Elton John
Paul McCartney
Justin Timberlake
Prince
Just to name the few that came to mind
Justin Timberlake and prince......I think I threw up a little. I like the rest of that list though.

I'd also like to add Ann Wilson, the lead singer from Heart. I think she's still alive, but she had some pipes.
Oh! David Draiman, the lead singer of Disturbed, too...
Sharon den Adel, the lead singer for Within Temptation.
Gosh I like Monique Powell, the lead singer of Save Ferris, too.

I'm thinking Brad Delp (lead singer of Boston)should be mentioned, but he's dead.

I like Dolly Parton, too. I'm leaving that alone though.
Shania Twain...., but Elton John puts her to shame in this video.
Eric Burdon is good too. Lead singer of The Animals and War.

Oh... Has anybody mentioned Amy Lee from Evanescence yet?

I agree with Christina Aguilera and Carrie Underwood too...

And Celtic Woman *sigh*, particularly Lisa Kelly.

My Dad said that the best male singer he's ever heard is Perry Como, but I haven't heard him. He said best female is probably Etta James.

I'd have to say:

Mariah Carey - her music is mediocre but when she was young nobody came even close to her range and talent. Not only can she sing well, she's written almost all of her number one hits.

Whitney Houston - before Bobby Brown and the cocaine took over she was without a doubt the greatest singer of her time.

Christina Aguilera - From skank to 1920s style singer. She's definitely one of the most powerful Caucasian singers out there.

Leona Lewis - I haven't heard much of her music but after seeing her live on several shows she's like a combination of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

It's a shame most of their music is terrible...
Love 'em all, well with the exception of Whitney, she's a basket case! I do love her old stuff though. Anyways, if you can't tell I'm a HUGE Pink fan. So I'd have to add her on there!
