Well, I agree that no one should put themself above the team, but he was a leader. Remember that first pre-season where Dalton struggled against Detroit and the Jets. And then he started to struggly against Carolina in the first quarter. So I think one of the coaches must've said, 'Just feed the ball to Benson' because that's all he did for a whole drive and it ended in a touchdown. After that, Dalton came alive.

I'm not saying I want Benson back, but I definitely appreciate what he did for us.

Wasn't there a stat that showed we had a very good record when we gave Ced the ball 25 times a game? And RB by committee is really dump idea when we don't have 1 good back let alone 2 or 3 LOL.

That stat is pretty similar with any back Marvin Lewis has had, if we have the lead in the 4th it is more common to run the ball, to get to 25 carries it means the team has likely had long sustained drives and where trying the run the clock out in the 4th.

That's more of a Marvin Lewis stat that goes beyond just Benson, it applied to Rudi Johnson as well

Oh this is EZ one.... Ced benson was all about ced benson.....But what we should be talking about is the big waist of time at RB.. B. scott .....This guy gets hurt if you smile at him....He just cant stay on the field ....One thing i will say about ced if we gave him 25 carries we won the game...He would beat a defense up as the game went on....And he could stay on the field he was only hurt 1 game in 09 thats it......The thing about ced that sticks out in my head is in 09 when we ran the steelers and the ravens over....To me just them 4 games of smash mouth football and us being the bully was worth every dime we ever payed him......How can you judge him we show run everytime we run .....Teams have 8-9 even 10 guys in the box ....And the man still got 1100 yards.....I mean we had a extra tackle in the game ....Do you think we are runnimg?......And if you ask me benson is way better then BJGE its not even close......The thing is the bengals do the samething over and over untill a team finds away to stop it .....Them once the other team stops our play we re azzed out......Been the same way for years
