I can go with this, and I think Zeitler had a very good year for being a rookie.
I don't think I could get on board with this. If you look at the year Zeitler had, there's no way you could put Burfict above him. There were many people that thought that Zeitler should have made the Pro-Bowl. PFF (not that I am a fan) had him as one of the highest graded OGs week in and week out. Burfict didn't grade out as one of our top defenders all that often.

I'm glad we got Burfict, but Zeitler had a much better year.

Yes, but OGs don't get much attention unless they screw up. I am thrilled with both of them.

I believe he's locked up for 2 more years.

Then he'll be a restricted free agent in 2015, so we're guaranteed at least 1 more year.

But we will most likely sign him to a big deal when he's an RFA, unless he was a one year wonder.

If he hits FA, we need to snap him up so fast his head spins.

Laurintius would be a great fit for this team.
He is smart enough and makes plays, but is not spectacular. He would bering the stability this D needs and has had to bring Crocker in to get.

Rey has been a disappointment as leader of the defense.

Smart move on their part.
He is a leader, and doesn't make mistakes.

There's going to be a lot of 55 jerseys in the stands next year that's for sure.

It usually is, but I'm going to reserve judgment on what Burfict will do. The reason he's in Cincy is because everyone else thought they knew what he was going to do.

Also, Marvin is a linebackers guy. He's a former linebackers coach. Assuming Burfict blossoms into a star (he isn't there yet) - Marvin is going to let HIS guy go without a fight? I doubt it.

From ESPN Link

"Burfict’s presence on field made a notable difference for the Bengals this season. When Burfict was on field, the Bengals defense allowed 2.4 yards fewer per play compared to when he was off the field.

How big of an impact was that? There were 230 players this season who were on field for at least 500 plays and off the field for 100-or-more plays. In that sample, no player’s team took a bigger hit when going off field than the Bengals did with Burfict."

So are you saying that they will not extend him at any point and just let him walk?
