The Blizzard of 1993

Anyone remember that huge blizzard? Birmingham Alabama had 17 inches from that storm and Chatanooga TN had 23 inches! It is coming up on the 20th anniversary. Syracuse NY had 41 inches in two days! The storm even brought 5 inches to the panhandle of Florida!

Hmm. I was stationed at Pope AFB, NC at the time and don't recall it. I may have been on a deployment though.

I remember it well. My then gf and I were headed to Myrtle Beach and we ended up stranded at my parents insteaid. My visions of us barely leaving the roomfor a week were crushed. Turned out ok though as I married her.

Hmmmmm.....I have to think about this one. I remember that it happened, but I don't recall much about it. This would've been my Senior year in high school. You'd think I'd remember being out of school for a long time. I do recall a blizzard in which my house had no electricity for two weeks. I think that was in 1993?

Hmmm.....I think it was an ice storm in my area of Ohio. It's coming back to me. I remember the ice being very beautiful and all over everything. My mom took a bunch of pictures and I remember the pictures well. I'll have to ask her if that was the blizzard of 1993.

I was born in '92, so I was 1. :P

I was living in Colorado at the time, but I still remember when it happened. My grandmother in Tennessee had dementia and she wandered out of her home during that storm. She was lucky to survive, and she never went back home. she had to be in an institution for the rest of her life.

I also remember that in tennessee there was also a huge storm in either '92 or '94. When I left east Tennessee in '91 there had not been ANY measurable snow in 3 years. Then while I was in Colorado there were huge winter storms in back to back years in tennessee.
