Laying it all on Dalton eh?

Look at the playmakers the other top teams have..

ATL: white, Jones, Turner, Gonzales, Rodgers

NE: Welker, Gronk, Hernandez, vereen, ripely, wood head

GB: Jennings, Cobb, Nelson, jones, Finley

Bal: rice, bolding, smith, pitta

There's a reason those guys get open - it's because they're really freaking good! Now compare those guys to our skill positions...

CIN: AJ Green.

Come on, the season is over so there are no secrets to let out anymore. I want him to be detailed and specific about EXACTLY what went wrong on offense.

He should not have to explain to anybody that there is very little talent on that side of the ball and it got decimated by injuries.

Before you say screen pass. Seems I remember two early in the Houston game that went for -3 and -6 yards.

Good defensive teams are not overly aggressive against us by sending all out blitzes, nor do they have to stack the box to stop our run. They just are beating the line one on one or running a stunt and confusing our young interior line.

Scheming against our offense is easy. Stop AJ. Good defenses can do that in multiple ways with ease.

He already stated that a speed back was a priority as well.

Actually, the only person that stopped AJ was Jay Gruden!

Interesting theory. Let's see which QB gets rid of the ball the quickest...

"Part of Brady’s success is in getting the ball out quickly. No quarterback in the league has a shorter average time before pass than Tom Brady (3.03 seconds, NFL average is 3.46)."

http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-e...dy-at-his-best

Hmmm, I wonder why Tom Brady has no problem being the fastest QB in football to get rid of the ball....could it be all the options he has who are open quickly? Could it be the offensive scheme?

Either way, clearly "not letting the play develop fully" isn't a problem for Tom Brady, who gets rid of the ball faster than anyone in the entire league, including Dalton. To assume it's a problem for Dalton, when he takes more time to throw than Brady makes absolutely no sense....unless of course, there are multiple other problems with the offense.

Nail meet hammer !

This is the biggest thing that separates the great OC's from the play callers. Tons of people can make up good plays, and anybody can pick plays out of a book.

The great ones learn to use their teams strengths and exploit the oppositions weaknesses DURING the game !

Are you saying our scouting dept and staff do not know how to pick talent,or how to develope it, or both??? I tend to feel its a combination of all.And they draft players, that have a ton of upside as you hear mike myock say all the time and when they get here, they disappear.Never hear from them again, and the next year they get let go and become stars on another nfl team.ITS MADDENING,REALLY!!!

what is it going to take, seriously, to make our team a consistent big time winner and a superbowl contender every year?? Would love to hear from all of you about what you feel it will take to get it done and can they do that??? Do we give them this coming year and if they fail again, do all of us bale???its been 45 years now and no superbowl winner in the nati.
