Should Leon "Shadow" All the Opponents #1 WRs?

He also arguably plays the slot better than the outside.

I am in favor of it but it goes against Zimmers defense, at least what we have seen of it.

Do you guys think this should happen for the remainder of the year?

Yes. Or you could have bracket coverage with Newman/Pac and a safety on the #1, with Leon draping the #2 option

The defensive line finally got pressure. It's the same backfield.

Did you forget week #1? I guess when every receiver is open you can blame just about anyone.

Hall has been playing better the last couple of weeks.

That was a cover 2 that failed.

Notice that whenever Leon breaks off in what appears to be a cover 2, the safety screws up 9/10 times?

Adam is playing his tail off in all phases this year.
He has a lot of great games left in him if he can keep from getting dinged up.
For having the knucklehead history the guy has been the model of team player while here.

One of the players that actually appreciates the fans and he seems determined to redeem during his "3rd" chance.

I would love to see him get a 2 year ext after the season.

Complete assumption on your part. I'm not saying you're wrong, but when he lets the guy go and 9/10 times there's an issue, you can't think that the safety is wrong that much. If that's the case, the safety should be benched.

Nope, Leon outside doing what he does.

1/2 of good CB play is correct breaks in zone coverage (LB's) and safety over the top. Leon is a fine CB

Leon is our best CB and should always be on the #1WR.. I dont see why this is a topic of discussion.

He shut Cruz down, but he's not always gonna win those battles. You can be a damn good corner and still get burned. Ask Revis, its happened to him a few times.

Its a topic of discussion because Zimmer usually doesn't have the CBs "shadow" anyone.

They play their sides.

The Giants game was the first game I remember where Zimmer used this method.

Mays should have never had to cover Anquan Boldin in man coverage to start with.

If Hall is fully healthy he is the best CB on the team. I would be in favor of that decision.

After seeing how effective it was against the Giants, I had the same thought. I know it's pretty different than what Zim normally does. KC and Bowe would be another obvious opponent to use this method on, because who else is going to be productive at the receiver position?
