Can we Bengals fans have a REAL convo about the Stoolers?

As beat up as they are - they STILL almost beat Dallas AT Dallas and with Romo having a HELL of a good game and Pitt playing many of their scrubs

As beat up as they have been all year, they STILL beat us AT Cincy

They also beat the Ratbirds at Baltimore - we got embarrassed

O line has to show up. Not one of them had a solid game against Philly.. And that was Philly. We won the game, but we were sloppy and realy had it given to us by a horrible Eagles team. We need to be much better this week. We have the potential to win. However, I agree with the one that started this thread. This is the kind of game we historically lose. I'd love to see us change things and turn it around. This is the game I hope we do it, especially against Pitt. Who dey, gang, and here's hoping for a win!

I'm scared of this game too, but I wouldn't put money on it. Bengals do too many things right. They create and often take advantage of opportunities.

OTOH, when I saw Ben throw that pass that travelled 60 yards in the air yesterday, I was all "No way can we beat these guys. Heck, no way can Dallas beat these guys." I was wong about the second part. Hope I'm wrong about the first.

This is really simple. It's a playoff game. If Andy Dalton can't have himself ready to perform for this game, when will he? I know everyone has to do their jobs, but I think this game rides on Andy getting his act together and stepping up.

I consider myself a realist, and I think we have at least a coin flip's chance in this one.

We're not talking about the same dominant Steelers:

7-7 record
20th in scoring
25th in rushing

The Defense is good at limiting yardage, but hasn't been forcing turnovers:

29th in INTs
24th in fumble recoveries
only 27 sacks

They have losses to bad teams:

@ Raiders
@ Titans
@ Browns
vs Chargers

Even their wins are unimpressive:

Beat a lowly Eagles team 16-14
Beat a terrible Chiefs team 16-13 (with plenty of help from refs)

As long as the refs don't kill us (Steelers had 0 penalties @ Dallas), I can easily see us winning this one.

I know, the refs were blind to anything the squeelers did. They tackled D linemen and no holding calls.

They need this win more than us AND it's at PITT and they've lost 3-4 out of last 5.
