3 WRs and 3 QBs in the first 9 picks? That would be surprising to say the least. Mock seems pretty good for teams getting needs. I doubt the Jags end up with the #1 pick just because their D should be good enough to keep them in most games.

its always hard this early but 3 QB's is possible and a lot of it is matching needs with teams at this point. Do I really think 3 WR go? Probably not. One of the OT will climb up the board.

If Lattimore isn't run into the ground by this time next year, I wouldn't mind the pick. If we could end up with those three guys in the first two rounds, I'd say we did pretty good.

While I would very much for us to focus our main need on RB next year, I just don't think it will happen. Plus if we are picking that low, I doubt Lattimore makes it to us. Actually I think we will have to focus on defense again. And I think our 2 main areas of need will be DE and OLB. In my opinion I think John Simon DE OSU is going to impress this year and shoot up draft boards. And I would love to sink my hands into him. I might be a little biased being an Ohio State fan but I just think he's that good.

Also I'm not so sure we have to draft Safety that high. Yes, we do have 3 unproven youngsters but let's give them a shot. Me personally, I think Iloka is going to impress and prove that he's our starting SS. In which case we will be set for years to come with Nelson and Iloka with backups in Mays and Sands/Miles.

I do think you have some OSU bias showing on Simon. He could slide up boards but I cant see him surpassing Cam Heyward in terms of being an NFL prospect. He is a solid 2nd round guy. Maybe late first. I would take Werner (who I think ends up in the first) over him every day.

If no one emerges as an answer at SS this season, we either have to make a move in FA or trade to get one or take one earlier in the draft than 5th rounders.

As for Lattimore; he had a big knee injury, probably wont run much like TR did and even if he does he probably wont light up the combine. Combine the knee injury with workload at SC and he could EASILY fall to late first.

I would honestly prefer Knile Davis to Marcus Lattimore. I think Knile is a special athlete like Darren McFadden or Adrian Peterson. Perhaps not quite on their level, but certainly close. Reportedly ran a 4.33 at 6'0 226lbs, and had the third heaviest squat on the entire Arkansas team. I'd be happy with either, but I prefer Davis.

I love Davis too. But he had (I think I remember this correctly) some ball control issues. Which immediately makes him a non-first round candidate for me. Sure some people will say you can fix that but IMO you dont spend a first on a RB who cant hold on to the ball when you should RARELY spend one on a RB in the first place.

Another thing is, while more athletic than Lattimore, Davis runs upright at times and isn't as effective between the tackles as a man of his build should be. A lot of my opinion on Davis depends on his return from injury.

Yeah, runs a lot like Darren McFadden, his balance is lacking as well. He needs to build some lower body strength, but the potential is unreal. I'm just worried that Spurrier is going to run Lattimore into the ground before he even hits the NFL. The guy takes more of a beating than any running back in college football.

No runner in this upcoming draft really has separated from the pack and the ones that SHOULD have both have some big issues.
