it has also been proven on many occasions as well, jerome simpson or desean jackson. but we are not comparing any of those people we are comparing vaccaro and thomas, and if thomas was the better prospect he'd be rated higher by at least a portion of the experts, but he is not by any of them. does that mean vaccaro will be a better player than thomas? no it does not, but as a prospect i would rather have the guy who plays at a higher level of competition than the guy who plays mid major ball

It still doesn't change the fact he was drafted to be our SLOT receiver. 40 times of others are irrelevant.

You'd have to show me where I "defended" Thomas or even suggested he is a better prospect than Vacarro. You stated "IMO Thomas isn't even close to Vacarro" and merely pointed to evidence that supports many writers/observers disagree with this assesment. Then you got all huffy.

We are going around and around, so you don't think he is better but wanted to point out that sports writers felt he was better?

I showed you that because sports writers vote for an award doesn't translate to being drafted higher or a better player. Your upset or "huffy" because the arguement you had of him being voted an All-American doesn't really hold up in my opinion. Because in my opinion, those awards don't always translate to success and because a guy runs around gets 5 int's off of Colorado and San Diego St. doesn't mean his game is NFL ready, but what do I know I'm not a scout or sport writer.

IMO Thomas isn't even close to being a day one starter as Vacarro is, but who knows he could be rookie of the year.
