If you dont see consistent sack totals from applied pressure there then you're blind. 14 out of 17 games resulted in multiple sacks. Go troll on somewhere else.

To need to go back and read my post. I never said they didn't get a bunch of sacks or consistent sack totals. I said they didn't get consistent pressure and QBs had all day to throw for the most part. There's a big difference.

The running attack of both Chicago and Minnesota will test the Cincinnati bengals.

The passing attacks of Baltimore (2), Pittsburgh (2), San Diego and Indianapolis will also test the Cincinnati Bengals.

Unfoertunately, the defense was the strongest aspect of the 2012 Cincinnati Bengals. Quarterback Dalton was ineffective in the last 5 games of the 2012 national Football League season and was totally inept in the Wild Card game.

I believe the quote is "Defense wins championships".

I couldn't find any statistics on pressures, but this page says that we had the second highest sack percentage per play in the league, and I find it hard to believe that we didn't get any pressure on any other plays.

I never remember every quarterback having all day to throw.

Great point. The games where our D disappointed at the end (late collapse against Cleveland, allowing two 4th quarter TDs against the Broncos, allowing 10 points in the final 7 minutes against Dallas) came in games where our offense had really long stretches of doing nothing and either punting or turning the ball over and our D was tired at the end. Offense must definitely pick up their consistency to help the D out.

I read it right the first time. Sacks come from pressure. The defense was 7th in pass defense. When did quarterbacks have all day to throw.

There is a big difference here. I bring some facts, you just make useless statements. Thanks though, you make a really intelligent contribution to these boards.

Yeah, what FRav said, and it wasn't like our secondary just blanketed receivers, and even the best secondaries get picked apart when the quarterback has all day to throw.
