That was a bad injury and Im sure the team would have to have some extensive evidence that he is going to be OK. That being said, the guy has a ton of heart...Im just hoping he has the tools if we pick him up.

I like Michael and Davis if we want to take a late round RB with "issues"

Way more than ok...he is having his best year as a pro and has a legitimate shot at 2,000 yards and maybe even the single season rushing record.

My guess is someone takes a shot at him in the 3rd or 4th round.

I think it will be later. I could not find any projections on when he will be able to run, but I think drafting him is going to be on faith.

I'd throw 3rd day selection out there for him... hell we have not had but 2-3 decent players come out of every draft as of late.... might as well get a guy with actual talent.

That's actually a really good return.

I'd back bringing in Dyer with a mid-rounder and Lattimore with a 7th.

My point is teams usually only hit on around 1/3 of their picks and the other 2/3 are basically scrubs so why not take a chance on a guy with actual talent?

There saying Lattimore might not play next year, I'd say a 6th or 7th round. It stinks because this is such a weak RB class.

Why not take a fresh healthy guy? Even if it doesn't work out, we have better chances if we take a half-bomb guy

CBS already has him as a 2nd/3rd round pick. Several years ago I would say sure, a good RB is key. Now, though, no way I risk a top 3 pick on a devalued position, injury prone player.

But there is less emphisis on the RB position which may hurt his stock a bit. |

I would take him with a 5th round or later pick..... I would also grab Joseph Randle or Giovanni Bernard with 1 of the 2nd round picks.
My wish list.... Barrett Jones or CJ Mosely 1st Alex Okafor 2a Joseph Randle 2b Chase Thomas or Gerald Hodges 3 then 5th round Marcus Lattimore |

Nobody has mentioned the fact that this isn't his first severe knee injury
In 2011 he blew out his LEFT knee and in 2012 he blew out his RIGHT knee.

Re: Lattimore to enter draft
Quote:
The best back in this class is Giovani Bernard and he certainly has superstar potential. There are several others that are right there behind Bernard as well. Guys like Gilleslee, Randle, and Cunningham. This is a very deep RB class if you look beyond media hype and look for the qualities needs in a high caliber three down back. There are several guys that would serve this franchise well and would allow Benny to return the duties that are his real strengths or even go 50/50 on carries with another back.

Re: Lattimore to enter draft
LMAO...no it really is not a weak class. It is actually a very deep class. You just have to look beyond media hype.
