Kevin Hardy had spinal stenosis, went #2 overall and had a long NFL career. If his stenosis was that big of an issue he wouldn't have been cleared to play at Georgia.

I'll take the first three, with K.Williams RB in the 4th/5th. Just curious Burma, do you not like Nixon in the 3rd or at all. I'll admit I like him in the 4/5th as a developmental guy. |

I do like Okafor and if I was targeting DE he is one of the 3 I like, the other two being Werner or Ansah, this is also the spot where I would make this selection, as I feel one of these 3 will be there (guys fall even unexpectedly). I am not a fan of using MJ hitting FA as an excuse to mock him to us though. We have the space and unless he holds out, he should be signed to a reasonable contract. Though I do see the potential to grabbing a high motor DE even if we retain MJ, if nothing else but to replace Geathers. While I am not a fan of Ogletree in the first round, this is where he should be selected. The guy has potential but likes to freelance and may be inconsistent. So if he is there at this spot, which is also unlikely, I would be very happy to pick him up. Not really interested in Xavier Nixon, the guy has flashed and completely shut down Tank Carradine and dominated in the run as well. Up and down against Clowney which speaks well of him overall as Clowney is a playmaker, but Jarvis Jones had a monster game against him. Reports were that he was injured so that might have had something to do with it. I just think this is where you draft a S, or grab DJ Fluker instead if you want OLine. Again I do like this draft and it is different but not impossible to believe. For those talking about Jones, the guy has some medical concerns and until he is checked out by the teams staff he will always be a question mark. Teams don't want to take a guy that can only play 1 or 2 years. They want someone who could at least play through their rookie contract and at a level to have them at least consider resigning them in FA. |

I completely agree that they should take a guard with one of their first three picks. RB and safety should be other 2. The order of those three should be best player available.

I think they have undervalued Ogletree, especially after what I envision him doing at the combine. I have really warmed up to the pick of Warmack. Many people won't find it sexy, but they need to draft protection and weapons for Dalton. Most of his pressures came up the middle. I supported Cook as the more stout blocker up the gut, and gave him (perhaps too much) some slack in lacking mobility due to his injury. That being said, if Robinson is the more athletic player and you put two road graders on either side of him, I like the synergy that could create for the entire offense. I think Boling played very well early, but hit the "rookie wall" as this was his first season playing all 17 games. Warmack would solidify the interior of the line for the next decade. Much of the pressure against Dalton came right up the middle, and forced him to roll outside. People complain about him lacking "Brady-like presence" in the pocket, but Brady has also struggled with pressure up the middle. When the pressure came outside, he always had a clean pocket to step in to while Dalton was always avoiding a rush in his face. One other position I could see as the "shock pick", especially if the Bengals are able to slide a few picks in rd 1 and gain an additional 3rd rounder, is TE. A third TE that could make red zone receptions, yet be stout enough at the point of attack to help the run game, is a priority. Neither Gresham or Charles are very solid blockers. I would love Kelce from UC. Perfect fit. So, I would like to see Warmack, a RB, and then Kelce. OLBs can be signed in FA or drated in the 3rd. I think Burfict will end up in the middle, as much as I would prefer Ogletree there, but since the offense is in greater need with early picks, I would rather get Warmack, the RB, and Kelce. The offense immediately is better and the return of Sanu, MLJ, Baby Hawk in front of the likes of Tate and Binns will have plenty of receiving options.

I forgot to mention, although it is in my sig, that I REALLY want a veteran safety to shore up the middle with Nelson. That would be my dream FA acquisition and I hope MJ and Andre re-sign as well.
