Andy makes about 10 throws a season where your like wow how did he complete that in that tight of a window. He just needs more experience and then that 10 will go up and if we surround him with a decent supporting cast. I feel he will go down as the greatest Bengal qb of all time. I like him slightly better than the 05 Carson already. ill still take 88 boomer and a in his prime anderson right now but Dalton hasnt reached his true prime yet.

It'd be different if I lived in Dayton or Cincinnati, but I don't. Unless you're planning on wiring me the money for the game or the bus, I don't give a god damn what you think. And since you've both obviously missed the point of me saying anything about attendance, I'm going to leave it at that.

Brady used to be ridiculed for having "a weak arm." It all boils down to Andy Dalton and how bad he really wants it.

Hey look, if you can't afford to go to the games, or if you don't have a car, that's all fine, but don't ridicule the fans down here for not going, they might be in the same boat you are, and cursing never helps your cause at all. Have a good day.

While his arm strength isn't awful there is still a lot to be desired. Besides that he doesn't have the athleticism to make plays out of the pocket like we have seen with guys like Rodgers, Kaep, RG3.

When Palmer was in his prime back in 06 i was confident that he was capable. Most considered him a top 4 QB in the league. He reminded me of the arm flacco has. Dalton on the other hand isn't nearly as good. When you watch Dalton he doesn't really impress you....he doesn't have a great arm, he isn't athletically gifted, and in my opinion he isn't clutch. Case in point was that over throw to Green. Look at the types of throws Kaep and Flacco were making in the playoffs and superbowl. Unfortunately Dalton is not even capable of some of those throws.

Look I like Dalton, I think he is a serviceable QB, but he is not the answer if we are serious about winning a SB. When you have players like Rodgers, Flacco, Manning, Brady, Brees, and young players like Kaep, Luck, RG3 coming into their own i think we need to seriously consider drafting a QB. It may not be what you want to hear but sometimes it hurts to hear the truth.

Sports is about winning championships not being mediocre. High Risk High Reward is the way to go......just like the 49ers did with Kaepernick. They threw him out there after 8 weeks because they knew that Alex Smith would only take them so far......and it ended up panning out. I know Bengals fans are happy about making the playoffs every now and then but is it really that enjoyable to get knocked out in the 1st round every season? I want to see this team hold up the Lombardi.......and I have serious doubts that will ever happen with Dalton running the show.

Well......there you have it.
Do we really need one of these threads every other month? Dalton is the QB for the foreseeable furture. What i or any fan feels about that is irrealivant.

I really think the better question is: Does Dalton have a championship caliber roster around him?

The answer is no...so it's not like Dalton is the weak link in the championship chain.

What was it - 6 straight years of sell outs then all of a sudden the stadium was half empty?

Right. I'm sure its because their vehicles wouldn't make the trip anymore, what with them living in the same city.

He could by next season.

The Law Firm is a good back, but adding a homerun threat would make the running back spot legit.

Receiver: AJ- 'nough said, then Sanu and Jones are developing into something solid, not to mention Baby Hawk.

TE- Orson Charles is a hell of a tight end to pair with Gresham

Re-sign Andre and draft a center and the line's set.

Defense only needs a safety and maybe a SAM (depending on how Rey looks there, but competition is never bad).

We can take the next step this year and win a playoff game, and then all bets are off when this team gains that confidence.

By next season, he could very easily have the team around him to do it.

I mean, I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. I think getting to the playoffs in both of your first 2 years is pretty amazing. I think he's intelligent and can become a great QB, but I don't believe he's a "champion" QB. I'm not sure he can actually be an elite.

In my opinion, he's been remarkable for a second round draft pick QB. If he actually had a good head coach and a good OC, he may very well have been a championship QB. I think he will need to work A LOT harder to be a legitimate threat in the playoffs. He definitely has a problem with maturity. If any of you watched this years playoff game you know what I mean. Dalton checked out in the second half of that game. He had no clue how to help, and all he could do was smile for the cameras while we circled the drain. I've seen a lot of losses during my time, but I think I was more ****** off watching that one than I have ever been.

Remember what year attendance started being a problem? 2009. Remember anything else that happened in this country in 2008? Like an epic econominc collapse?

If people stopped coming because of the product on the field then how do you explain all the sellouts during losing seasons compared to attendance problems over the last 4 years when we have made the playoffs 3 times.

Alot of people said the same of Drew Brees when he was with the Chargers. Don't rule a quarterback out after only two years and one full offseason in the league.

Im sick and tired of this arm strength crap... How many times did we witness Andy overthrow AJ on deep routes? At least a dozen... Arm strength is not the issue, its his deep ball accuracy that needs improvement.

The arm strength concerns are more about velocity and fitting the ball into tight windows. Its not just "being able to throw x yards downfield."
