No trade downs.
1. Justin Hunter..WR..Tenn....I think Sanu has shown enough, but i also believe he will end up inside. Hunter is an outside guy. Put him across from Green and we are set. 2. Kenny Vaccaro..S..Texas....Has been steady all year as one of the top 3 safeties. If Reid falls, which i doubt, I'd pick him here also. 2. Ezekiel Ansah...DE...BYU....Lots of hype for this big man who runs. 3. Mike Gillislee..RB..Fla...Seems to do everything well. Is a willing blocker. Flashes good speed with it. 4. Nico Johnson..ILB...Ala....Inside back up and depth 5. Tanner Hawkinson..T...Kansas....I'm spending the last 3 picks all on o-line depth. 5. Jonotthan Harrison...C...Fla 6. John Sullen...G...Auburn |

If there is a trade down then linebacker would probably be the extra pick. Somebody has to go in the 4th. I consider RB and S bigger needs. Ansah is a pick for the future. The board could fall in the 1st to get an elite WR2, a guy with more speed. Bottom line, the 1st 4 picks have the ability to be play makers at areas we need help at also.
I'm not sure whether to go inside or outside LB in the 4th. A guy like Devonte Holloman would be a choice of mine also. But right now I'd keep Burfict outside and grab depth behind Rey for the moment. Last edited by goalpost; 11-17-2012 at 07:03 AM. |

I don't like spending the 1st pick on WR, at all.

The 1st round pick kinda kills it. Rest of the guys are good; not the biggest fan of Nico...he's limited.

Yea, well, it's definitely a different way of looking at it. Was kind of nice watching the Bengals grab the lead for once last week and letting the defense play that way with it. Too often we play these close more conservative games.
The subject of Green having a counter part has been a subject we've been trying to find. And as stated i like a slot combination of Hawkins and Sanu, and prefer we rotate there, instead of outside at number 2. Just think we become a more complete offense. If you look at the stats YTD..it bears that an outside receiver across from Green is not complete...yet. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/pl...2/seasontype/2 Last edited by goalpost; 11-18-2012 at 06:06 PM. |

Not a fan of spending a first rounder on a WR, nor do I like burning a second rounder on a DE.
Maybe drafting a linebacker sooner, and possibly drafting 2 RB's would be a good move. I would add more, but kind of lacking in my knowledge of draft prospects at the moment. I do like looking towards the trenches at the end of the draft.
