May have been. I just remember seeing Lamur out there a lot on third downs only, as he can cover but bad at run defense. Bottom line is out of Burfict, Maualuga, and Lawson, our best cover LB was Burfict, which is not good. We don't really have any LB that can do it all.

Lamur got his PT later in the year on 3rd and long situations and some 2 minute stuff if memory serves.

Sign a guy in FA if anything. Draft a WLB. A lot of talented cover LB this year.

Yea the league is definitely changing to needing better cover LBs. There are also a lot of great WLBs. Are there any good SLB candidates in FA that could feasibly come here?

There are a few.
Daryl Smith.
Phillip Wheeler.
DeAndre Levy.
Justin Durant.

Id be okay with any of those as long as we drafted a WLB

What are your feelings the Bengals brought in one of those listed LBs for SAM, brought back Howard for WILL, and put Burfict at MIKE? Essentially meaning what if the Bengals did not draft a LB high in the upcoming draft?

Just to start an arguement haha my favorite SAM would probably be vince williams. I know he is a MLB at fsu but he can also play SAM and hes a late round steal. i dont wanna resign skuta, vince williams is a tremendous upgrade over skuta and could fill in and play well at SAM if howard(achillies) cant go. Williams is 6'1 247lbs, reminds me of Lawrence timmons. He runs a 4.6...he flys around and lays hat. very strong with quick hands and power. My favorite MIKE/SAM is Vince Williams FSU.

I would be ******.
Howard is on the wrong side of 30 coming off an ACL injury. Normally Id be more okay, but he is no spring chicken.

We need to get younger and more athletic at LB.
This is a stacked draft to do so.

Ogletree, Brown, Greene....

If we don't sign a SLB in FA, I'd like to pick up Jamie Collins for that role.

Even if do re-sign Howard, I'd like to see us get Brown or Ogletree because they seem like they have good versatility to play WLB and MLB if Burfict were to go down.

Id be fine with both of those scenarios. I like Collins.
