Its not what he has done in the League in fact the fact he has really done anything should mean hes fresh and healthy..

Its what he no longer does.... TV Media ***** for reality TV... if he can focus back on football he will be good to go. And at the very least (everyone on the D knows who he is. and they will have to respect that or he can still make people pay)

Looking at possible WR free agents, Chad Johnson is honestly the best the Bengals could get right now. However, I don't think Marvin Lewis is open to bringing him back.

I have always wondered, though, how the passing game would have looked with AJ and Chad on the same field

Chad would just need to come in, draw coverage, make the occasional short completion and secure the ball. He'd play for 3-7 games and retire a Bengal. It would be beautiful thing.

Those catches made me want to change my vote. The 2008 and 2010 version of Chad (As well as his performance and lack of leadership in that playoff game against the Steelers) has so heavily spoiled my image of him that I repressed all the good times, HAHA. Screw it, give him a tryout. . .how many truly great players have the Bengals had? It would be right by us to treat them all right.

yeah but at what cost to our young players .......dont think for 1 sec it hasnt crossed my mind .....But then so did the last 2 years he was here....fighting with carson in the huddle was the last straw for me

I think a lot of fans are guilty of forgetting just how great Chad was in his prime. That's why I hate when people say AJ is already better than Chad. As great as AJ has been this year, he's still 232 yards away from Chad's single season receiving record. He might be a bigger target and better in the red zone, but I don't think he's better overall. Yet.

I read an article from NFL.com about the "rebirth" of the Cincy Defense. While preparing ready for the Giants game, Zimmer seen something on those four-year old tapes. Defense has been playing lights out, imagine if the Offense could get it together, like that.

Somethings gotta change on the Offense, with a quickness. Bringing back anyone from years past isn't going to do it. However, we need a receiver, another "target" for the other teams to pay attention to to get some of the heat off of A.J.

Sanu was that threat, but dammit, things just aren't that easy for the Bengals. Ever.
