Was Carla Jean murdered at the end?

I saw the movie but am not 100% on this one. I dont beleve she was if memory serves me......she was Brolins old lady right?

Maybe I remember the movie wrong, but didn't they take excessive liberties with the operation of a bolt gun? Having it shoot at a distance and such?


Or do I need to re-watch the movie?

Nah, you're remembering him shooting out door locks with it. He also had a silenced shotgun. Maybe you're meshing the two memories together.

Yes. She was murdered. I am a fan of Cormac McArthy (wrote the book) and the Coen Brothers so this was a perfect fit for me. The book rocks too...movie stayed faithful, though. Great adaptation.

He only used the bolt gun twice: on the guy at the side of the road and on the door knob. In both cases, he put it right against them.

And the movie is correct, this is "No Country For Old Men".
