5. Who do you cut?
6. Once again blocking tight end does something different from FB

- Yes. I imply that in some plays, Conner and Pressley would line up as FB and HB. It could probably used in short yardage situations and max protection mode.
- I originally imagined Gresh staying at TE, but you raise a good point.Orson Charles had a successful run out of the backfield on a sweep. I'd imagine Jermaine's athleticism could be used similarly. But mostly I was thinking that Gresh would stay in at TE while we didn't rely on the RB. (See #1) They experimented in preseason with Pressley getting some carries and a few targets,
- See #2.
- STs are a chance to show their versatility to the coaches and demonstrate sound fundamentals in role similar to the one they play from scrimmage. Blocking is blocking. But to answer your question, they could sit a LB who only plays STs for a FB who can play ST and might have some plays drawn up for him. I know it assumes a lot of things happen, but that's why I wanted to start this discussion. I sometimes get curious about things and want to know more about them.
- Leonard and Scott are probably on the way out so if they have Green-Ellis, draft a guy and a get a FA/keep Peerman, they should be fine. They usually keep a RB or two on PS anyways.
- Yeah, again a very good point you raise here. Defenses would have to believe that they could catch a football. I really wanted to say something smart here, but I keep getting Dan Coats flashbacks.
- So you're right, silly me, forget I said anything.
